Title: Kingbilly
Post by: Darren253 on September 10, 2014, 08:14:10 AM
Has anyone seen or heard from Kingbilly?
An average of 5 post per day but has been inactive since 29th June... Maybe the red centre trip gave him a myswag overload?  ???

I saw the other thread before it was deleted, there was obviously something exciting going on but it didn't make sense by the time I saw it because everyone had edited their posts to hide the good stuff.  Haven't seen anything as interesting since the whole dot painting incident!

It's not interesting. He is having a break from the forum, for whatever reason that may be.

Wanna buy a dot painting? I have one for sale

I would like to thank all those members who phoned, Pm'd and emailed me.  I was genuinely touched by your messages of support and words of friendship.  Since I joined this forum I have become friends with a number of members and look forward to enjoying a campfire with many more members.

Anyways, enough of this touchy, feely stuff.  Who's got a new camper build  :D

Looks like lots has been happening whilst I was away. I notice lots of non camping discussions.  Maybe there should be a board called "Knitting Circle" where some could sit around and solve all the world's problems  :D :D

Hey welcome back  ;D
Just wondering if there's any info about after market rated recovery points for D-Max's on that forum your on?? Cause I've got a mate with a 2014 D-Max and he's asked everywhere and no one sells them..
He just doesn't want to use the tie down points because it is very unsafe and doesn't want to injure anyone..
Oh and he's not the type of bloke to jump on forums.
Cheers for any info

Thanks mate.

Short answer, no.

I know of one national company who attempted to get their prototype recovery point certified by an engineer but it failed and they have gone back to the drawing board.  Maybe something early next year.  ARB are not developing any at this stage and recommend using an equaliser strap on the two factory points.  Isuzu say the factory points are OK if used with an equaliser but don't recommend for a snatch recovery, so just winch and towing.  I have used them with an equaliser for a gentle snatch but had a dampner for safety reasons.  Worked OK but would be cautious about anything too heavy duty.
