daveenmarcia Stranger things than that have happened , l hope you get your kit back . Good Luck
-
Lucky for you it wasn't a gopro.
-
Hi I don't like my chances of getting it back but though ti'd put the word out there. Definitely lucky it wasn't a gopro the memory card was worth more then the camera lol. I had it strapped on the drivers mirror and after we made it nearly into bramwell station i realised it was gone did a run back down thinking i'd lost it on the pdr looking everywhere for it found nothing then went back to bramwell only to find our friends had looked at their pics from the day and it was gone before we hit the pdr. I reckon i have a good idea of where it fell off (narrow tree section bypassing some very rough washout track).

Well the strangest things have happened and yes the camera has been found and returned.
Found 2 days after I lost it sitting in the wheel track with who knows how many cars driving past.
The ones that found it were in the 2nd car behind there mate and saw it and picked it up, There is no damage except for where a branch hit and knocked it off and all works fine.
Thanks All

Great outcome!!!
can I ask was it my swaggers who had read on here that you had lost it, the ones that found it?
if not how did they now who's camera it was?
-
reckon you can post up some details about the camera?
are you happy with it?
i'm after a cheap action cam and interested in what you thought of yours.
-
I've got a GoPro, wrote my mobile number inside the case so if here worst happens, and a good person finds it...
-
I just got back home after doing a Motor bike trip to the top of Cape York. We did Frenchmans (very quickly on the bike), and I was wearing a GoPro 3+ Black. The whole time I was hoping it wouldnt get knocked off, because it could so easily get lost.
At the start of every Memory Card, I always record my name and address, and ask if anyone finds the camera that they post the camera back for a reward.
-
Very lucky indeed. How did the people who found it track you down?
-
HI I was very lucky indeed.
The person that found it was about to email 4wd action when his son found the post i had put on 4wd action site. (I spammed lots of 4wd/camping sites).
Last night i recieved an email saying he thinks its mine and what colour was the car it was on. i sent him my details and the fact i was still holidaying on the gold coast and about an hour later i had a missed call saying he is definite its mine I rang him back and he confirmed it(told me later he facebooked me and saw my son wearing the same shirt and hat that was on the camera) and even arranged to deliver it to me at Seaworld where i was staying.
He seemed like a very honest and genuine guy didn't want anything in return for it.(We bought a $50 wish gift card) he refused it so i threw it on his dash and told his son to make sure he uses/shares it.
komaterpillar: I have found the camera pretty good this is my 2nd one as the first had its internal battery die after the 3rd charge but was exchanged and told if it happens again i can just keep getting it replaced.
Video quality is good gets a bit shakey/wobbly at times I am using a 32g class 10 card.
Down side is you can't power it and record at the same time. for $48 its a good camera.memory card was worth more then the camera.
