Title: Ultimate swimmers for women travellers
Post by: rossbarb on August 30, 2014, 09:46:15 PM
Hi Everyone, ladies especially,
I have been searching for the ultimate swimmers, rash shirt for us more mature ladies. I wanted one that was sun protective I am very fair, red hair) one that was reasonably flattering I as am no spring chicken anymore. I thought I had found something reasonable pretty good with a zippered long sleeve rash shirt over a tankini, but I decided wearing a rash shirt over a tankini top was a waist of a tankini top, so started looking for a zippered long sleeve rash shirt with a bra included even approached a swim wear manufacturer no go. After considerable google searches I found covertogs manufactured in NZ. Ticked all the boxes. Have ordered a set but am waiting for the new seasons as they will be coming out with a longer sleeve. Just thought that some of the wonderful women on here might have the same requirements as I. I have no affiliation to the company at all

Yes we need to get out there and enjoy ourselves, but the main reason for these is sun protection
and if they make me feel more at ease that is a bonus

Hey Barb,

My mrs has one of these.....bit cheaper than the MZ stuff.

Quite a few of the surf labels make this stuff so if you search the bigger name brands you will probably come up with a few options.

Cheers Nomad

Hi Nomad, Thanks for that, but I was trying to get one with a bra in them so I don't have to wear swimmers under the top, but I do like those,

Hi Ladies,
My pair of these covertogs arrived today. I must admit I was a bit nervous when I put them on, but I was very happy!!!!! They fitted really well and were so comfortable and flattering. I am the first to admit I am no longer trim taut and terrific any more. I am a size 14 but they looked really good on. the workmanship was great and the bra fitted well. I am going to buy one of the newer tops with the longer sleeves, they will be out in about a month. These have ticked every box for me. I am no way involved with this company at all. I just thought there would be lots of women out there like me who want to look OK and cover up and be comfortable and feel great. Hope this helps as I know it is hard to buy online if you haven't seen them.

Thanks for sharing the link it can be very hard buying bathers and like you say if you cant find anything in the shops then online can be difficult when you cannot try them on. Glad they are a good fit for you and you like them.
