Title: camping at Seisia
Post by: Artie on August 24, 2014, 04:18:12 PM
Hi everyone

We are planning a trip to the cape and TI next year and thought we might leave the camper at Seisia while we take the ferry to TI.

Is this safe?  Any suggestions.

Cheers

Last time we went to Seisia the ferry was booked out for a week, so I would book before you leave home

X 2. I would suggest staying there if you are going to leave the camper there.

We had a great spot right on the beach. Huts 9 and 10.

The park itself is usually pretty safe but there are plenty of tealeaves in town.  Not sure I would leave my CT and gear there unattended.

Are you just doing the day trip or staying overnight?

We felt very safe leaving our campers set up at Punsand Bay during our trip over to Thursday Island. Just remember wherever you leave it to close everything up in case of bad weather, as there was a heavy downpour while we were away and we came back to a soggy camp.

TI is stunning. Have a great trip!
