This may have been raised before, but looking at the members list with a view to change username it was amazing th see how many have not posted at all.
I wonder should membership lapse after a certain period of inactivity ?
-
A lot like to sit back and look at the great information posted and will post when they are happy to do so.

That was me when I first signed up. Researching first, then post, then birds knockwood meet now contribute to forum where possible.

As there is no problems with space on the server and a profile doesn't take up that much space, why would you want to delete them due to inactivity. There are numerous reasons why people don't post for a period of time, some times they log on and read. Leave them there I say

Members with 12+months membership and minimal/zero posts dont irk me, members who join and their first (& sometimes last) thread & post is in the CT classifieds section however s#@t me to tears. We all have times where either we have nothing to add or just busy elsewhere.
A more interesting stat would be a list of time since last log in if that were possible. This might change your view: some of the so called zero posters may have logged in only yesterday whilst other members with 1000's of posts maynot have actually logged on for years.

fixed and agree.. specially when theres no phone # only a PM that never gets replied to. but this has been discussed 29385032948 before.

Hi, I have been a member here since November 2012 and just recently made my first reply! I originally joined when searching something camping related (can't even remember what that was now) and have been happily reading ever since. I work horrendous hours, usually late nights, and when my working day is over I enjoy the wealth of knowledge shared here.
-
The other thing to remember is that you need to be a member to be able to PM, a lot of the showroom operators work on PM's and if your not a member then you cannot correspond with them.

i dont know why it matters if there is members that havent posted ???
Oh well, first world problems hey ;D ;D

I have been a Pradopoint member for a few years and have never made a post but the information is invaluable.
Also a member on a few surf forums and made only a few posts in a couple of years........I mainly visit those ones to find out about new boards and surf trips etc.
I don't think there is any problems with people not posting.
-
I have no problem with people lurking in the background.
I spent ages thinking of a witty name only to find someone beat me to it. They registered years ago and last logged on 1 hour later!!
Something else I noticed
15,000+ members and only 1011 pins on the map.

Yea, Yea Jamie. I think you've been quite busy enough mate ;D

There is a lot of information on this site, when you search. A lot of people join, but then just search, until they get the courage to post. I lurked around for a while until I posted and ended up going to a My Swag meet and posted more often. ;)

My member has never been dormant. I suggest a blue pill and a bit of ky :) I was expecting more from this post :(

they could be stalking you oldmate. C'mon lurkers, time to come out of the closet and share your stories.
My mum always said, "it's the quiet one's you have to worry most about".
Mind you, around here, it's the noisy one's that scare me most:-)

I only joined this forum in December 2013.
I absolutely love reading camper trailer builds and trip reports.
I probably come on this website once a week , but quite enjoy reading what people have been building and where they have been
-
I pop in once a week at lest to have a sticky and when I think I have a question to ask I do a search and see it's all ready been asked so I don't post. When I get around to doing some mods on my tambo I'll post some pics. Till them I'll just lerk in the background like a creepy old uncle

Hi, I am guilty of not posting, but I do try to log in when I can to read what people are posting and also to find some answers to questions that I may have and normally I have found that someone else has asked the same question, so no point starting a new post or asking the same question. 8)
-
Don't really care if they do a purge or not but if someone hasn't been active for 2yrs I don't think they are going to be attached to their user name and if they were purged then maybe people could get access to the more common names they've been dreaming of.
If it wasn't to hard maybe send everyone who hasn't been active (the system appears to be logging viewers also) for a period of time that allows them to reactivate their login, if they don't respond after a week the system deletes their account and make the username available once again. I'd be suprised if a script/applet doesn't exist for this already, like this:

Thought I better add to this just so I can prove I exist.
Meanwhile back to my lurking and

Thats an old pic, about 2 yrs I think. To shiny for me, I'm only allowed trucks with 800k+ km on the clock! Don't have a pic of the old girl, she is currently parked at Albury, "dormant" for 3 weeks with crane troubles......

Where do you buy TV's from? Normally they're just in whatever hotel or house room I walk into.
Can't remember the last time I went TV shopping.
Swmbo is good in that she just buys Samsung TV's that all have the same remote.
