Am after some recommendations on a good compact 3 person tent.
I originally was looking at OzTents but have decided to see what's around in a good, compact fold tent as something that can go inside the vehicle.
Doesn't have to be mega strong or big, would be setup partially under the awning off the side of the vehicle. I'm looking at a few hiking style tents but if anyone has a recommendation it would be appreciated ...

G'day Dion
We have an Oztent 3man Malamoo tent. Take it out of the bag and it springs open.

I been looking for something to carry in/on the fourby. I keep coming back to the household variety touring tent.

Looked at them but the packed size is pretty big?

Yeah they're not bad, but I'm after something really compact.
The Black Wolf hornet is one I've been looking at: http://www.blackwolf.com.au/product-details.php?product_id=144&category_id=22 (http://www.blackwolf.com.au/product-details.php?product_id=144&category_id=22) - the packed size is about that of a sleeping bag.

This "4 person" tent is a bit bigger but you can stand in it, much easier to use if packed size is not critical.

We have the Black Wolf Tanami 3EV for our daughter, it packs away into the size of a large sleeping bag. When hubby goes to the Gympie muster (flys to Sunshine coast) he has to take his own tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, pillow and clothing on the plane, this is the tent he takes.
The tent itself fits two 4WD mats with about a foot in between. It has the net hanging from the roof for storage (we usually put a ufo light in there, it works well as an overhead light.) The tent has a semi enclosed area in the front, good for storing shoes and stuff.
Doesnt take long to put up, daughter does it herself, 6 pegs and 3 poles will do it. Its well made and thought out, plenty of ventilation regardless of weather conditions.
