Title: Bike racks - opinions please
Post by: Argle on July 01, 2014, 12:59:26 PM
Hi Team, been looking at ways to carry four bikes on the roof racks of the Swan and have come across these - they look ok and the price is certainly attractive - has anyone had any experience with these racks?

Appreciate any feedback

Cheers

After carrying bikes around OZ you need a rack that you remove the front wheel and then clamp the forks to the rack.

The racks where the front wheel remains the centre of gravity is to high

Whilst suitable for your weekend away trips you will destroy head tubes and the like when invlolved in any signifigant off road touring with these kind of racks. Also being on the Jayco you will get them covered in dirt and soon be frustrated if you have to remove them every night when you set up. Placing them on the roof of the vehicle is a better option
