There are 2 led headlamps purchased from 2 places. One from Kmart for $5.00 with batteries and the other from Rays for $15.00 with no batteries.
Which one is from Rays and which one is from Kmart.

wow not all that uncommon is it.. taking back the one from Rays then? :D
-
It pays to shop around. I got the same lights with batteries from anaconda I think they were about $5 just before Christmas.

The one with the tears on it is from Ray's!
-
The one from Ray's doesn't light up......
-
Regretfully there is no difference as expected. Both have the 3 settings.
The light is great. I cannot see why people pay $50 led head lamps.

The Mrs works in Kmart. We have a couple of the $5 headlamps too. I reckon the black and red handheld at Kmart are awesome. They have a hook and a magnet and also come with batteries. They are also $5 each and look like this pic below (except colour is red and black)

I have both and while the Kmart one does the job the LED Lenser is way better. I've used the Lenser to go spot lighting with it. While bright enough to see the eyes, to hard to shoot as you turn your head to sight up :-(

Apologies should have worded it better. For what we use them for , walking at night, eating dinner etc it suits us. ;D
I understand people use them for different purposes.

Same products different prices same chain. I bought a one burner stove from Big W - $14.95 and a set of 4 butane gas cylinders for $3.95 = $18.90.
Was at BCF a couple of days ago - the same burners sell for $19.95 and the butane only available in a 6 pack was selling for something like $12
Rips offs - same coy same products - different pricing.
-
I have had about 6 of them from anaconda over a few years. Yes work okay for what they are but the straps play up after a while. $5 is my max spend on them
-
btw Mark i had some like that but left the batteries in them.. they corroded up real bad. just a heads up

lol... Makes you wonder about the downunder light?
-
slight hijack...sorry
i have a pile of these and they are a great basic headlamp
With one I took the headstrap off and put a C-clip on the back instead, instant portable light for anywhere in the camper as it clips onto the tent poles, also good as a reading light in bed, the tilt/swivel still works so it can be pointed anywhere
for $5 I reckon you cant go wrong

I use these, a bit more expensive but still reasonable. Nice and compact, good light output and the red mode is good for 'stealth' activities :)

I brought a couple of these exact head lamps back in 2008 from Kmart but there were around $30 then!!!
I now just take my hard hat and a cap lamp from working underground. The battery is small enough to fit in my back pocket or clip on my belt. It weighs bugger all and even though I know you can get cordless ones I fell my one has better distance..
Let me know if you want a pic...
:)

Also from Bunnings is the baseball cap with LED's in the peak. What I like about it is it's so easy to put on and take off with one hand. $20.

Keep an eye on Catch of the Day if anyone wants LED Lenser H7 quite often comes up at $39 instead of $70-$80 you pay in the shops.

Sorry, you're absolutely right. It's similar, but not the same. Here's the link to the same table. It's $94.95, marked down from RRP $109.95!

I saw beanies in Bunnings this morning with led in the front :cup:

I'm going bush camping for a couple of weeks and ducked into BCF for a water container. 25L cube for $29.95 - 25%. Wife liked the idea and wanted another. I was doing a job near Rays so dived in there. Same 25L cube, $16.95 - 6.5%.
