Title: Should I laugh or Cry
Post by: xcvator on May 29, 2014, 12:57:32 PM
We took "Zaccy" to the vets yesterday to get a progress report on the progression of his cancer, 6 xrays later the vet says there is something strange going on here and sends them of to a specialist for analysis. His reply was " this is some really weird sh1t, something has triggered his auto immune system and he has gone into complete remission, there is NO cancer there now, not in his leg nor his lungs " There are only 5 recorded instances out of 5 or 6 thousand cases that this has happened and nobody knows why .

Should I cry about the lost money for a cancelled cruise around China,(travel insurance doesn't cover it) or the cancelled "Cape" trip with McGirr.............................................................................nah I don't think so, I'm too happy that "Zaccy" will be with us for a lot longer than we thought

GREAT news mate  :cup:
Beat me to it.

Excellent result. You didn't really want to go OS and think of the damage saved to your liver & kidneys by not going to the cape.
Well done Zaccy.  :cup: :cup:

That's great new, we lost our staffy to cancer late last year, it was devastating,
Interestingly my father is currently being treated for cancer and is having radiation daily on the secondary tumor however the doctors are unable to find the primary and believe it has died off, I really hope they are right,
Anyway back to your dog, I would suggest regular scans just to keep an eye on it all

A great result & a pick-me-up as my B-in-law & family lost their beautiful Golden Retriever last weekend to a tumour.
Thanks
Steve

They better check the scanners.
Maybe there was a speck on it the first time which they saw as cancer?

This is good news for Zaccy.

Fantastic to hear Keith.. Maybe you can still make one of the trips! With Zaccy in tow.

Maybe it was all that time out enjoying himself camping!

Keith that is fantastic news couldn't be happier for you guys, maybe to celebrate you could take Zaccy on a trip to http://www.bestfriend.net.au/ (http://www.bestfriend.net.au/)  I have not managed to do a trip report on the 6 nights we had there earlier in the year.  Might not be the cheapest camp spot but soooooo dog friendly.

Could it have been the heat treatment in your Camper?

Or could he have pinched a gutfull of your best Muscat (known to have medicinal qualities)?

Either way, laugh!
