I've just been very busy! :cup: I haven't forgotten you lot though. How could I? :-*
So for all those who have "missed me" (if that's at all possible) ... I'm dedicating my spare time (well most of it) ... to the Animals. I've signed up as a volunteer "Reuniting Families With their Best Friends" on FaceBook: Queensland Lost Pets Register (https://www.facebook.com/Queenslandlostpets)
Fostering feral cats for Little Leg Cat Rescue (https://www.facebook.com/LittleLegsCatRescueQld?fref=ts) is rewarding as well ... although I've always helped feral babies find a new home ... I'm just doing it Officially now. See some cute kitty photos below. ;D
I'm still camping although my blog is suffering some neglect. ??? Still finding time to walk the dog and do chores as well as work alas. Still have the Aussie Swag :cup: and the OzPig :cup: ... and are still trying to find many New places to take both ... and - if you can believe it - I'm finding them still! I will try my very hardest to get a few of them on the blog ... I think you'll love a few of them ... I did!
Kit_e
After Thought: I guess I'm not a Top 10 Poster anymore :-[

Glad you are back, I missed your posts. :cup:

Wow, I was thinking of you the other day and was going to put up a post about the missing kit-e. But it looks like kit-e went missing for a bit like all kittys do. My kitty went to a foster home recently and she is doing well. Here is our new addition which is number 4 of the K9 pups we have had to date. Good to see you back Tracey! ;D

I was beginning to wonder too... Even checked your Blog yesterday, which is always a good read. Hope you get a chance to update it soon. Cheers.

Glad to hear there was nothing sinister going on. This is our cat Skeeta. We found her in our hay shed with a few other kittens a few years ago. She was the only one we could catch. I'm sure she thinks she is one of the dogs though.
Sent from somewhere on something with that tap thing

Hello Kite,
I was thinking of you on Easter Friday, our tom cat Jack, who is 16 years old, didn't come in for breakfast on the Thursday before Easter.
A week later after posting 'lost cat' posters around the neighbourhood and on facebook, we'd all but given him up for dead when we received a phone call from a vet nearly 15 km's away from our house. The vet let us know that 2 young boys had handed our cat into them, which after scanning the microchip quickly reunited him with us.
How the hell he got so far from home is a complete mystery, however we believe he may have been asleep in the tray of my son's work ute and Jack woke up while my son was on his way to work, and he jumped out at the first opportunity.
At 16 years of age, I think he has well and truly just used up the last of his remaining lives.
Cheers, Marschy

Glad you haven't died :D was wondering what was happening with your blog posts, was just thinking about you today. Knew you had taken on a few projects. Make sure you still make time for yourself and get out there in the AS. When you get our posts on the Kimberley that will motivate you >:D >:D ;D ;D ;D
Take care and look after you too :)

Thanks!
Hi Mr GU ... I see you are up to your usual antics ... keep it up. You make me ;D
Hi NayDMAX ... yeah I thought I should get back and work on my post count (this'll be 3 more than I had last week!) ... and ensure the Sheila's don't disappear on the male oriented forum!
Hi GeoffA ... yeah ... All is Very Well.
Hi Swannie. ;D
Hi scarps. Cats DO have 9 lives ... and they go MIA a lot ... it's a statistic the QLPR are working on!
Hi Crusier_105Tvan ... the "seal point" (as they call them) has been adopted. :cup: She is rather cute! Her new mum keeps visiting and can't wait till she's old enough to go to her new home. Everyone likes the light kitty! Hard to believe they are all the same litter ...
Hi sol ... I'll be working on the blog update this weekend (mental note to do something this weekend while it's cold and raining).
Hi Bill ... Always nice to see you ... well as best one can on a forum that is.
Hi oldmate ... It's a wonderful thing to do! The volunteers are all really keen, dedicated, lovely, genuine ... and we try our best to get the critter "babies" back to their owners ... it doesn't always work out the right way, but we do our best to make things easier where we can.
Hi KingBilly ... Nice to be back.
Hi Stozz ... how's your puppy going?
Hi Mace ... Yeah they just about have ... we've had some "necessary removal of skills" from our workplace (they sacked a lot of people) ... so we don't have as much time for that internetty thingy anymore. I'm kinda hoping that changes ... but holding my breathemight not be a good idea.
Hi HEM19X ... There are other forums?
Hi noel_w ... I know you did!
Hi fuji ... nice to see you haven't changed your forum name again. On your 4th pup hey? You must be getting better at it! It's a good thing you do. So what's with fostering out your kitty?
Hi BernieS ... Sorry about the lack of blog posts ... (mental note to do something this weekend while it's cold and raining).
Hi lino6 ... Skeeta is a beautiful kitty. Such unusual colouring but it's working well. Yeah ... those feral ones are a bit tricky to catch ... next time try Hot Cooked Chicken.
Hi Marschy ... I'm so glad Jack has a MC (chip), that it's UTD (up to date) and that you did the posters and FB thing. Sounds like you found the LPR in your state! :cup: I hope you let them know Jack is Back ... so many people don't and we have to chase them up months later. I don't mind doing it at all, but sometimes it's frustrating when they just don't answer you. 16 is a great age for Jack. My Norman is a 98 model too!
So anyway ... I'm back. I've got a hell of a lot more knowledge on finding your missing pets and I'm happy to share it with a forum that makes "Pets" very much part of the family.
Kit_e
P.S. Where is the LIKE button here? ;D

Hi Stozz ... how's your puppy going?

Glad to see you are back on here.

Good to see you back. Always worry when a regular poster goes quiet.

LOL @ The Dog! Looks a bit like mine to be honest ... at least she knows how to round up kittens!
Kit_e
This is Simba one of my foster cats ... he didn't like cats, but he loved the dog! He was lucky enough to find his FurEva Home and they love him to bits. <3
-
Interesting Kit e that someone's doing research on cats going mia? Ours is 9yo, and gets an annual vet check up.
Last visit = clean bill of health, but vet just suggested a good dental clean up would see him out the rest of his life.
For the first time in those 9years, after having forked out $$'s for the gingevitis clean up etc, he goes missing one day.
Yes I know on here cats are not everyone's cup of tea, but this one came as a kitten and grew up with our kids, so after missing for 3days, we contacted council, vets, letterbox dropped leaflets and nightime search parties around the neighbourhood. Several false sightings and after 6 days we had given up, just hoping some nardowell hadn't got him.
On the 7th day, just as if nothing had ever happened, back in He strolls? Done nothing but eat and sleep for the last 3 days, finally this morning He decides to go out and see what's going on. Where do they go?

They can range out 15 Klm.'s or more if they want to.
Might have found the love of its life.

Nice looking pussy cat scarps! Love the grounded pic. :cup:
Not doing research as such ... just logging all those cats found or lost and working on getting them home. The actual statistics for MIA cats is rather depressing. About 80% don't make it home ... they are PTS (sent to the rainbow bridge) by council and the RSPCA at the drop of a hat. Overcrowding at rescue's is now a problem.
When a simple MICROCHIP would save all this fuss! They are cheap, easy to get, and IF kept up to date (your phone number that is) ... your Puss can be home within a few hours or days. I have no idea why people just don't do it!?? :-X
>:( Same with desexing ... don't get me started on that! ;D
Anyways, I've just scored another litter of stray kitties ... more on them later. Pics too.
I'm hoping at least one of you has seen my oh so very recent blog post! Amazing what you can do when people whinge whine mention your complete lack of attention it to you.

Hey Swaggers,
I've taken on yet another litter of kittens ... Mr Goldie can fill you in there as he's keeping FB tabs on me! ;D
They all had the flu and still have ringworm (no it's not a worm!) ... and are learning to live with humans ... although it's going to take some time for these ones. They came from a "colony" (PM me for an explanation there) ... and some were being tortured by school children (it involved nails and golf clubs ye gods) ... and one little girl is missing an eye (I don't want to consider why) ...
So I'm busy with these babies right now as they need all the love I can give them. But you will be happy to know that I've had 5 babies adopted and they are all living with their new humans and loving life. :cup:
Kit_e
1. How she looked when she came in. :'(
2. How she looked last night. ;D

She is recharging, when her eyes are red she is fully charged......
Clearly that's a lie, if she discharged I doubt either of is would recharge her!

Yeah, Ok, but who gets the blame?
The dog you can tell it is her. (sorry Kit_e bit off topic)

It's good when enemies will turn into good mates.
If you get them young, it's really amazing what turns out.
Doesn't have to be cats and dogs either.

Didn't get the Shepherd young (she only came to our house this year she is a bit testing with her listening skills) but got the cat as a kitten when a stray had a litter in our hay shed.
-
Well done, saved the dog from a shortlife.
Then let the kitten look after it, well done.
-
Off topic is hilarious! :cup:
Pictures of happy fur babies (as we call them on QLPR) shows love working well. Haven't had a cat yet who hasn't adapted to the dog very well.
Love your new charge Fuji ... awww ... always nice to see them growing up and turning into "real" dogs but a pity they can't stay so cute and adorable at the same time.
Once "Robyn" has been cleared of the flu, she'll go into surgery to have her eye cavity cleaned out and the eye sewn up. She'll be desexed and microchipped at the same time. I'm hoping she's strong enough to make it through all that and come out the other side with a Fur Eva home. One eyed cats are (unfortunately) less desirable, however it isn't stopping this little baby from darting all over the place - she still doesn't like me much.
Kit_e
-
I would have thought a Collingwood supporter would quickly snap up anything one eyed?! Good luck with it all Kit_e you are doing great work.

You do good work Kit_e

Tis a great spot, and the puppies like it. Some great sand bars. But busy (understatement of the year) around holidays and long weekends.

I worked out why our cat sleeps like this, so the rocks don't roll out her ears!
