Title: So the power is out - what to do?
Post by: scarps on February 11, 2014, 03:35:51 PM
Well looks like the firies have almost contained the Mickleham-Beveridge-Wallan-Bylands-Kilmore-Pyalong fire, but everyone is watching this southerly change coming through and what it might do to the existing burnt areas.
The power's out, and looks like it may not be back for a few days, the fridge and freezer's not working and the food's defrosting.

What do you do?

Go camping?
Lit the candles and have a romantic dinner.

My Honda i10 has kept our fridge going through several blackouts here in Brisbane.

I have only used it once to charge my Cub Escape battery's on the Fraser Island, I have used it more at home for blackouts then camping.

It’s a strange thing when we don’t have TV to watch, which means couples have to actually communicate with each other. So it looks like the maternity wards are going to be busy in 9 months time!!

Get some of the evil drink into her and she'll end up like a second dressing table.....
The colour starts to fade.
The legs get a bit wobbly.
The draws get a bit loose.
