Looks good, nice and easy. But like everything with age and wear, will the male appendage stay up horizontal or will it drop down once the bearings are worn in and need a helping hand to get it up into the receiver.  ???

That defiantly happens with old age  ;D

Had my regular McHitch on for a while now and no sign of it drooping. Still quite stiff and seems to remain in the upright position.

Do you grease the uni's LOL Mine drops under its own weight and pretty much has done after its first decent use.

Greased once since new.  But then I haven't done any real serious off road trips like you have.  Just had a look at my log and it's only done 3 trips for a total of 2000kms so may not be a true guide to droopiness.

Think you are referring to the original McHitch.  This new auto coupler was only released in the last month.

There's always something new coming along  :cup: :cup:

Like others, I wonder how they'll go with some use.
If it's and issue, surely they'd have some way to get around it.

Hi Swannie I have one and am on my way back to NSW from SA at the moment. Triton with a Dove OB all tar running on this trip unfortunately. They are a local product to me so liked the accessibility if need be the inventor/owner owns a local auto parts shop and has been in town a long time.
Cheers Derek

It's going well it is a good method to hitch with and a reverse camera would make it fool proof doesn't appear to have any play in it articulation is nice (backing etc) 30min change over from the original ball hitch holes lined up perfect. I have pictures on here somewhere might be mancave thread from memory also using a stone stomper with it. As with most things I believe parts manufacturing OS and assembly here (picked mine up first hand and he was putting them together at the time) Gall brothers use them some videos on YouTube I think. My trip will only be around 3-4000km on road this time.Family touring as opposed to serious stuff generally for us as well. It is a well built looking bit of gear though.
Cheers Derek
