I am after a velcro strip with a clear cover for my LED camping light strips. This is to secure my LED light strip to the roof of my camper where velcro is already installed
Can't seem to find anyone that sells just the velco with clear cover. Any thoughts? The eBay selllers all seem to sell it with a light included. As i already have a KORR kit i don't need the extra light.

If you find a link / supplier who who does this, can you post up a link.
I'm interested in this also.

What is with the clear cover? Can't you just stick some Velcro to the back of the light bars? I have a Korr led set and can't see the issue.

You might be onto something... just glue a nice long strip of velcro to the light itself. Would sikaflex be right for aluminum onto the material back of the velcro?

Do you mean anything like this

You can buy sticky backed Velcro. I think Sika would work as would super glue.

Big green shed, go to the hose section and get some clear water hose, glue a band of velcro on each end and slide your light bar inside it ..
-
clear fluro tube covers - most electrical suppliers sell them

Jaycar sell different size clear Heat shrink. I have used it on my Korr lights.
I bought rare earth magnets(also Jaycar) and slid under the heat shrink. the lights will hold on any metal poles on the camper.

Happy to leave the LED strips permantly on your bow(s)?

What i am after is the "pocket". One side is velcro, the other is clear vinyl/plastic. The LED bar slips in and then i can stick it anywhere in my tent that there is velcro. My tent has heaps of pre-sewn velcro strips for this kind of stuff.
So what im after should only cost about $2.
Plenty of kits on ebay have the pocket and the light and cables and its about $80... im just after the pocket as i already have spent big on the lights and don't need another light.
As nobody seems to sell the pocket on its own there is probably a micro-business idea here for anyone interested.

I'd pay more than $2 for them, but that's also what I'm after.
Been looking & searching for a while.
Might just have to buy some of the light strips from McGirr and mount them.

When Sarah gets home I'll show her this - see if she can knock something up. How long are your lights?
Tim

50cm long lights. Light cross section is 2cmx2cm so pocket needs to be bigger than that.
My tent has the Velcro loops so the pocket side needs to be Velcro hooks.
Needs to be open both ends to allow light and c ables through (light has cable at both ends).

Goose,
How wide is the Velcro on the camper?

It it something like this that you are after?
Led Strip Light in flexible cover (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/12V-cool-White-Waterproof-LED-Camping-Light-Strip-Bar-Caravan-Boat-Truck-Lamp-/261380622376)
This is the type of thing that I'm after, ideally 75-100cm long with eyelets on the ends.
Then i can string it up.
Some Velcro on the back could be nice, but should it be the hooks or the loops?
What would something like these cost to make?
