Title: DAKAR and tyre pressures

Just caught up on day five..........it looked like the exit off teewah beach, somebody should tell them to lower their tyre pressures....lol

Remember the times when some ran in car psi adjustment - notice also quite a few using relatively narrow KM2's.

Its quicker to give it a go and hope ya get through than to stop, let ya tyres down then have to pump them up again after.

most of the better cars have a tyre management system and can let down and pump up again on the fly.

Most are not allowed to have inflation/deflation systems. I think the 2wd class can but not the 4wd, which is the majority of the ones you see on TV. The trucks also can have them. As already said it then becomes a time issue, and you sure as heck can't run low pressures at the speeds these guys do..

I just wanna drive one of them trucks.  Do you get extra points for crushing bikes?

Driving one of those trucks would be awesome.
I would love to do the Dakar as a support vehicle even!!
