Authorities have begun evacuating about 900 campers who are in the path of a large bushfire on North Stradbroke Island, off Brisbane.

Yep we're copping all the ash from this fire here in the eastern suburbs. Not a pleasant drive home either along the motorway towards the gateway bridge coming from the south.
