Theres nothing there.. just catch the ferry across the bay to Queenscliff, and head south to Cape Otway caravan park. just watch out for Koalas/

Not sure if that is a comment or a question? If you will be travelling from Wilsons Prom to Kennett River via Rosebud, your easiest way from Rosebud to Kennett River would be via the Sorrento - Queenscliff ferry. Otherwise you need to go into Melbourne and down to Geelong then onto the Great Ocean Road. Much quicker and easier on the ferry. Rosebud should have settled down after the Christmas/New Year/Australia Day holiday periods and you should be able to find a spot camping on the foreshore, if not Rosebud then anywhere down on the peninsula. By the way, the caravan park at Kennett River is a great place, so long as it is not packed out. Plenty of koalas in the trees at the back of the park.

When you head down the GOR do pop in to the Angelsea Golf course to watch the Roos that hang about . Apollo Bay the Mariners Lookout , you can see for miles & miles , well worth the walk . Godfrie creek walk past the grave to the beach check out the anchor of the ship . Part of the shipwreck coast . Check out every pull in bay for the views .
Watch out for the motor bikes

Rosebud has drivein. And good beaches.
4hrs driving around to geelong or 1h and 80 plus dollars for ferry.
Hopefully you've booked for anywhere down the coast. If its camping your doing just find a spot in the otways, shouldnt have any dramas.

Rosebud is a top spot, I was born there. Anywhere on the foreshore in March should be fine. Then catch the ferry from sorrento. We took a similar route, Wilson's prom, Phillip island, rosebud, GOR. Didn't take the ferry because my wife had never been to Melbourne. So we went the long way to Gelong. Make sure you allow plenty of time to stop and take in the scenery on the GOR. You'll love it.
