Hi Victorian's..I am after info on weather and rainfall and the general greenness and brownness of the area etc for different times of the year. We are trying to make an informed decision on moving. Particularly interested in the Johanna-Lavers Hill area...Cheers Michael

No, never lived there, but as an ex Victorian knew the owner of the lavers hill store many years ago. they have since left. He reckoned it rained for 5 days of every week, and it then dripped of the trees for the next two!
Lavers hill is near the wettest place in Vic, Weeaporinah!
so, it's very wet, annual rainfall average over 1900mm.
Johanna is near cape otway, if you google it's weather it reckons the yearly average is about 900mm.
would be an interesting place to live.

Hi Mace, see these are the things I need to know..We love Johanna and surrounds (but have only ever been there in late winter/early spring) and have toyed with the idea of moving to the area, we love the Adelaide Hills but crave the rugged coast of Sth West Vic.
It is mainly the Brownness of SA in summer that we dont like and we are NOT hot humid weather lovers so a move North is out of the question....Cheers Michael/

Hi lindamc, the things we really want to know is wet season duration and amount (Mace may have answered this.) is there much wind and when and does the area ever "Brown Off" in the hotter months and if so how much..cheers Michael
