Title: Cunningham Gap
Post by: Niley on December 03, 2013, 07:41:46 PM
Look what we pushed off the Gap today. Its amazing how the media interpret that no body was injured during the rockfall. This was a planned event that has taken 2 weeks to prepare to shift a 60t rock from endangering the public.

Apologies to all that use the highway as it will be closed till wednesday night.

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story !

Gee the media have a lot to answer for.

And yesterday I was abusing (under my breath) some innocent, unknown worker when I could have been abusing you personally  ;D ;D ;D ;D  What role have you got?  Not one of the daredevils hanging off the ropes I hope.

Took me 4 hours to get home yesterday instead of the usual two  >:(  Whilst I get text messages from TMR about closures, they are usually so out of date, I chose to chance it again yesterday.   Has worked the last 3 or 4 times.  Not yesterday.  Had to turn around and go up through Heifer Creek.  Will be glad when it is finished.

Apparently the rock did a bit of damage to the road.  And not surprised after seeing the pics.

I presume the poster said they planned to push this rock onto the road ????

If so, they bombed out badly, as anyone would know to place a few tons of dirt over the road where it was to hit !!!

Nah, looked more like dodgy bros inc !!!!    8)

50 ton of dirt might have stopped $100,000 in road repairs !!
