Hi all,
Help us settle a marital discussion ;D ;D ;D ;D
Which side is your awning.
Jet ;D ;D ;D

Well I voted. I don't actually have one..........but I would have it on the passenger side. And I have been looking at them but don't need one.......actually I do need one but I don't have a shed, which I need to hold all my stuff..........If you get what I mean.

Passenger and rear.
but taken the roofy off until further notice..
-
Passenger for us.....so who's winning the "discussion" so far? ???

Passenger and rear
Although I can see an argument for the drivers side too.. Easier to check when 4wding
-
Passenger side. So when u pull up and set up for lunch, all the dust from passing cars doesn't annoy you.

Passenger side. Often have to open drivers side, so much easier with no kids and clutter about.
-
I'm really hoping that you went with passenger Jet or you'll never hear the end of it now

Oh dear, it may be less painful to just make it left hand drive so you win ;)

Mine is on the drivers side. There were some very valid reasons for this, I just gotta remember what they are!
Partly to distribute the weight more evenly, with the 153L fuel tank on the passenger side, so the spare tyre on the roof is also on the drivers side, and already setup to load the OzTent on the Passenger side and no desire to lift it over an awning! That meant the awning on the drivers side was a well thought out no brainer!
See, I told ya there were reasons!

you may be right..or tell her Myswag is full of idiots who don't know one end of an awning from another ...and fade away into oblivion and then re-join under an assumed identity. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Or just cop it on the chin and take the hit..then I get to stay and play with all you lot :cup: :cup: :cup: :cup:
Not the first time I have been wrong and certainly not going to be the last.
I can't even remember why I choose the drivers side ..but it must been a good reason ? I hope

Sorry Jet but we are on the passenger side to mate......and it was the wife's idea here too!!!
Cheers,
Disco teddy.
-
Sorry Mate, passenger for me too.
So I can jump out of the car in the rain and open up the foxwing,
then Darling and offspring can get out without being rained on

I don't have one or really feel the need for one, but if I was to get one, it would go on the passenger side.
-
The wife is going to be one happy camper ;D.....the passenger for me too
The shovel is on the drivers side

Same here. This is about as one sided as the 1st test! :D

Foxwing were selling their drivers side ones for $350-400 few years ago cause they couldn't give them away..
LHS they couldn't get enough of
but I notice ebay has about 10 different *FOXWING*'s now

Jet wont need his shovel on the drivers side he will still be using it to dig himself out of this hole ;D ;D ;D ;D

You didn't have a 'both' option.
We have a foxwing on the passenger's side and a standard ARB awning on the driver's side...sort of like His 'n' Hers ;D
Have you actually mounted it to the rack yet? You may still be able to sweet talk your way out. Chocolates always work...or a diamond
Cheers

Passenger side as thats the side with the smaller barn door in my case also its off the road if were to set up while repairing tyre etc and the family would be safe of the side and for the kids and partner to be able to get on dry when packing up during a rain event wich iv done and was most usefull for them....
-
Mines on the passenger side, but my mate has his drivers side. Works great when we head up the beach together, we set up side by side for a double sized shade cover.
-
Back a winner mate, passenger side. Only resoning I had was that if ever. I wanted to ues it parked on the side of the road, it wouldn't be in the middle lane. BUt, I don't think I've ever used it like that
-
Passenger side and rear for me. Done that way because the rear door on the Paj opens to the drivers side so when we setup it's always on the passenger side of the car.
-
If ya doing a big trip why dont have one on either side, so that you have 2.. more shade the better in the outback, and you can protect the car more..
hey how much to they weigh?
no I dont have one of those new ones.

Passenger and rear awnings here too. Having a patrol with barn doors the rear one and doors protect the fridge from the elements when it's pulled out on its slide.

Previous 4WD my awning was on the passenger’s side, but with my current 4WD it’s on the driver’s side. Pros and Cons for either side and at the end of the day it makes no difference.
-
Passenger for me and same for my mate he faces one way and i face the other and still double side :cup:
-
Previous cars on the passenger side.
This car will be the same if I get the brackets to put it on.
-
Sorry Jet, I'm going to make it hard for you.... I have one both sides and will be getting a extra canvas so I can extend the awning and have a spare in case it rips or gets damaged
