Title: Newbie from Broken Hill
Post by: PUMP on November 10, 2013, 04:07:02 PM
Hi all,

Newbie from Broken Hill. Have yet to get myself a CT but have joined to try to get a little more information before committing to anything.
So far I am looking at either trackabout or complete campsite 2nd hand. Looking at spending anywhere from 10 to 20k. Are there any other brands in this price range people think I should look into??

Hi Pump, what options are you looking for in a camper?

Its only for me and the cook. But so far im thinking soft floor, good storage, electrical systems all in place, kitchen, onboard fridge setup, water tanks, elec water pump. I just want something that is fairly set up and doesn't need much done to it and able to go for a fair bash offroad!!

Welcome to the forum, great to have you on here.
Your budget will get you a good secondhand Aussie made product, but you may need to be patient for your one to come up.
Good luck with your quest and we look forward to hearing about future trips and ventures.

Welcome to the forum Pump. Been to Broken Hill and the surrounds many times, due to swmbo originally coming from there and still having family there. Used to love to pass through and head straight for Copi where her grandparents had a van. While it's been quite a while since our last visit, we'll definitely get back there at some stage. Some great country out there.

Gday Pump and welcome.

Given your budget and stated requirements have a look at a Cameron Camper with a Concept top. Trailers are built tough and canvas is quick to setup plus you don't need pegs and ropes! You can find a good secondhand one in the upper end of your budget.
Good luck with your hunt.
