Title: Staying at the Cape.
Post by: McGirr on November 08, 2013, 11:12:39 PM
With the revised itinerary I will be heading to the Cape for a few days after camping at Cotterell River     before heading back to Cairns. I will be staying at the huts at Seisia Caravan Park.

Arriving at Seisia on Tuesday lunch time and leaving Friday. Members can stay longer if they wish.

If you want to continue to the Cape please let me know so I can make arrangements.

Depending on numbers will depend on the what huts we take. Pic below. I will be looking at hut 4 and 5 which gives us plenty of room as they will take 4 campers per hut. Hopefully they don't stuff things up like last time.

Mark,
we are keen to go to the top...3 of us.

Q - If I am reading this right, you are intending to stay in cabins at Seisia...will you be leaving your camper at Cotterell River ? If so, why is that ?

Mark,

The cabins are not cabins as such, they only have a roof with power, water and a sink with food preparation, the floor is sand with a lattice waist high barrier around . We used these on the last MySwag outing.

There are great idea and are almost crock proof.

Regards, Chris.

As Chris pointed out they are huts with water and power more used for cooking. see pics. We will be taking the camper with us to the Cape.

I may not go through to Seisia , as I am taking my tinnie and outboard. I may stay on and do a bit of fishing, anyone who decides to stay at the beach/river can also have use of the boat. I may time my trip home with those who do go to Seisia.

cheers duggie

Hi Duggie,

I’m planning on staying in the area (Seisia to Weipa) till Friday 11th before making my way home. I will probably also have tinnie with me as I’m keen on some fishing.

Regards, Chris
