Title: Water pump in jayco swan
Post by: Greg76 on November 07, 2013, 01:21:08 PM
Hi

I've found numerous posts on this topic but none answer the question I have.

I want to fit a 12v pump in my Jayco swan. Can anybody tell me what size the pipes are in the swan? There's the clear one that comes from the tank and then a slightly thinner one that leads to the mains tap.

Secondly, where do I buy the pushfit fittings from? Just been to home hardware and mitre 10 and neither have anything remotely suitable??

Thanks

Greg, the fittings you're looking for are available from Caravansplus.com.au
A friend of mine got the fittings for his Jayco from them.

Thanks. Have you any idea what sizes I need to buy. I know I could measure the pipes once I've cut them but I don't want to cut anything till I've got all the bits I need.

No sorry mate can't remember. He's away at the moment.
Why don't you give Jayco a call and ask them :D

Also Camec will have the fittings. Your dealer probably would too. You will have a standard metric size. Some older vans used imperial fittings. If in doubt, remove a fitting and take it with you.

I would recommend you fit an accumulator tank while you are at it as it will make the whole system work a lot better.
