I have a Toyota Hilux sr xtra cab , cab chassis with 2inch lift. Was wondering would 33inch tyres fit fine. ????

32's (2657516) is a safer bet and better for gearing. From what I have read 33's Are possibble but need a bit of work and more lift to be practical.

I am currently running 265-75r16 and they go alright but I want bigger. What lift is required for 33's to work properly and effectively ??

285/75R16 measure 32.8 so not really gaining a great deal of tyre height.  What you do have to take into consideration is the extra width of the tyre.  In my old hilux my 33s actually stood lower then the old 750R16s but as the old pizza cutters were only 7.5 inches wide compared to the 33s 12.5inches wide I was for ever chewing the inside of the guards.  This is where I was being limited on the upward wheel travel.

The biggest limitation is the body mount behind the tyre. Fitting one of my body lift kits will help. send me a PM for more info. I had a client fit 305's with  BL kit but had rubbing on one lock. He had it aligned and they added some caster (pointed the wheels further forwards) and it worked without further mods.

This contributed article on my web site will help.

If I installed a 2inch body lift with my 2inch suspension lift kit. Will 33's fit better and not rub on full lock??

How does your drive line stack up for the bigger tyres mate ??, I have mate with a hilux, a few years old now, he was a bit reluctant to go to bigger tyres on as he was concerned with diff ratios, and also whether it would put any extra pressure on his clutch etc ??

I run 265-75r16 so 31's and they drove perfect better than a road tyre. Hasn't added any extra stress on the vehicle. My speedo is 10kms out so 100 =110km
