Hi Guys
First trip away 5 days with the new fridge. It is a 47l freezer fridge.
What is the most efficient temp setting . I was thinking -4. I want things to remain frozen but not use excessive power .
Thanks
Jeff

I run my ARB Fridge at -1 just to keep Beer Cold :cup:
But thats in my Kamper with door opened and shut 100 times a day by kids and wife.
I run my car frige as a Freezer all the time and i need to run it at -8 or lower just to keep kids Ice Blocks frozen.

To actually have things remain frozen solid you need to go pretty low around -10

I have found if you want things to remain frozen for a few days then around -2 will do it providing they were rock solid when they went in there.
But they are really efficient as a fridge at around 1-2 degrees. As soon as you drop to zero or below they cycle ALOT more to keep it maintained when in the same ambient temp as keeping them at 2 degrees. Just my findings of course.
I have gone away for a few days and took plenty of frozen meat and had the fridge on 2 degrees and it hasnt even cycled on for a couple of days! Just the frozen meat was enough to maintain the temp. Mind you this was in Tassie.

i have an ARB 60 Litre and usually have it set to minus 4
I find at this temp things on the bottom will start to freeze (or stay frozen if they where already frozen),and the things up the top remain cold.
I use the same temp settings on my Bushman fridge and the beers are well chilled
