Now i dont know if this is true or not ,you would like to think they couldnt stoop that low but there is a rumour running around that when the roads were closed here in PT Stephens with the fires that 4WDs were accessing Stockton Beach via Lavis Lane and driving along up to the Anna Bay end and who was there waiting but the National Parks handing out $190 fines for not having a Beach Permit >:D

knowing this State and its revenue chasing ideas then it wouldnt surprise me
-
They wouldn't?? Would they?
I love this country!

That sounds so doable to me . Somebodys got to pay for the repairs to everything
-
Does anyone have any proof of this ???
Most of the NPWS staff in the Nelson Bay area have been out fighting the fires.
Preventing Darwinian evolution and reinforcing personal responsibility for the disaster tourists is normally for the police to manage.

this was posted on one of the 80 series FB forums, then as I read all the comments there was another one saying it was a HOAX..
so dont keep spreading it unless you have heard first hand that someone was fined.
