Reminded me of GGPatrols blog where they said the wind in the Flinders was pretty gusty around this time ...
No mention of the dust storm though ..

During the wind storms there was a lot of dust in the skies, maybe we got the tail end of it

We where in Hawker when the dust hit and the rain changed it into mud / dust rain, lots of dust and bigger grains of sand being blown in

camping with the trailer in Chambers gorge when the wind hit,
mad scramble to pack up outside when the storm first hit and then bunk down, slept thru most of it, guessing that's what you get when you don't listen to any news or weather forecasts for the previous 3 days
