So my original holiday plans have been cancelled.
I am now thinking of going to Fraser Island next weekend for a week. I have never been to Fraser any later than early September. What is it like there, is there anything I should be aware of to dissuade me from going at that time of the year?
I have been to Fraser twice before, but any tips or tricks are always appreciated!
Thanks in advance for your help and opinions! ;D :cup:

Yeah, hopefully there will be plenty of camp sites to choose from! :)

I got back from 2 weeks there on Thursday just gone. Apart from it being awesome it was school holidays so it was full of noobs and tourists. Going when your going should be pretty good.
It was my 1st time there so I was expecting the driving to be a challenge - in fact it was a doddle. No real issue for the ZD30 and the camper. Most of the time without the camper I was in 2H at 18-20PSI. For the difficult and soft Ngala rocks bypass I dropped down to 16 PSI. The Indian Head bypass which people say is difficult was easy as without or with the camper - just watch out for the holes in the middle (bowl) part of it as they are car busters!
In summary - get there and enjoy it!

We just got back from 2 days on the boat at Inskip, where the line up for the 3 barges running went from the barge back to the trees.
On Fraser, the line up was HUGE as everyone was making tracks home......
Now, having said that, i reckon, you'll have a good time, with lots of camping spots available.
