Title: Long Term Storage of Porta Loos
Post by: JCAT on October 06, 2013, 04:12:11 PM
Having just got back from Fraser Island where our Thretford Porta Loo got it first use I am wondering what people do to store them.

We have cleaned it all up, flushed the crap tank out with Napi San and clean water.

For storing it until our next trip I have put a bit of household disinfectant in the crap tank and given it a bit of a swish around, just to take care of any bacteria that might be hanging around.

Is this the norm or should I be doing something different?

I lubricate all the rubber seals with a bit of olive oil as well. Then just leave it ready to be charged for next time.
