Quick question I have damaged a spring hitting a rut last time we were at the barringtons and need to replace it . Now I weighed the camper today at work and it went 1080 kgs without 150 litres of fluids and food a nd clothes ... Now I can get springs rated 1500 kgs or 1800 kgs to fit existing mounts so which one ? I'm leaning towards the heavier but not sure if to much.
Thanks Mark ...

Is that 1500 kg per spring?

get the lightest spring that does the job - a higher rate shakes the crap out of everything...
Hope this helps

there per pair..... My problem is that its not uncommon for the camper to come home upwards of 250 kgs lighter GT ....

That's five cartons...?! ;D
250kg on (or, taken from) a 1000kg trailer is only a 20-25 percent change in weight so should be within the scope of any quality trailer spring's ability/range

I am with GT on this one. Usually the springs are rated to be within a safe working range, the 1500kg springs should be plenty considering "most" (braked) camper trailers are generally only legal at weights up to 1500kg.
