Title: New Hard Floor Camper
Post by: Ynot on August 12, 2013, 09:52:01 PM
After a jayco eagle and a soft floor we finally join the big boys with a hard floor camper.

Pick up time is tomorrow, and we are looking forward to getting it out there ASAP, though the misses is on call this weekend so it may have to wait...

Now I was happy with the old tent and the jayco wasn't too bad, but the setting up and down with these rigs ate into valuable drinking time so the new setup had to be quick and easy.

Climbing in and over bed wasn't much fun at night, specially if you were forced to drink more than you should because it took so long to set up, so a nice big queen bed with full access around was called for.

Tucker is important so a full kitchen and fridge freezer was the go, I like a good roast so a gas hot plates and oven was needed so tick the box for that one. Nice dinette table to eat dinner at or watch tv (footy).

The boss doesn't like to get cold when going to the shower or loo so needed heating, and air con is always good, but why walk to the shower, this hard floor camper has a separate toilet/ shower setup inside as well!

Plenty of room inside this camper (21 foot), with a rollout awning on the outside for lazing about.

Can't wait to get it home!

P.s it is a camper, don't let anyone tell you different...

Hi Ynot
Of course the obligatory photo's will appear, that is a given.  Of course when you take it out, there will be location photo;s with a bit of a blog so that the grandkids pof the desert black fella can do some travelling without gpoing anywhere.  Am I selfish when it comes to my grandkids enjoying this site......YES.

That is not what I was suggesting Ynot, I was sim[ly saying you should be posting some photo's after your first trip, the grandkids love looking at other places.

No worries Tjupurula, I understand and will defiantly have some photos up as soon as possible.

Just that I might have to change forums then and the other mob aren't as nice...

I rekon it has more hard surfaces than just hard floor. Maybe hard walls and hard roof too ;-)

Here is a couple of pics of the CT, don't be fooled by the photos, I think it is just the camera angle that makes it look like a caravan.

Hmmm, I wonder how she would go...
I think I might have to drop it off and use the old swag for that trip.

That's more of a hard floor/tall roof camper isn't it??

Looks mighty impressive!!

Can you take some inside pics too please

Those Coromal's have a great reputation - I'd be keen to hear your thoughts on it after your first few trips.

Cheers, will take some more tomorrow of inside and give some more details.

I wanted a cub or a KK but my wife wanted the full van, so we compromised and got a full van...

I didn't want to go this big but it towed ok on the way home so will see how it goes.

Very very nice hard floor Ynot. She is definitely a beaut. I like it.
Your right though, some of the camera angles certainly make it look a bit like a caravan. Experts like you and I are not easily fooled though. It is defiantly a hard floor. Muz.

Sorry Muz, after today's events I better come clean,

All, I have been deceiving you and sooner or later you would have found the truth. The above mentioned hardfloor camper is actually a caravan.

I am very ashamed (not for deceiving you but for buying a caravan).

Please let me stay and don't banish me to Lake Gregory or the caravan forums!

The CT, ah, caravan is a Coromal Element 632 with RTP or rural terrain pack.

Don't have too many mods planned yet but may go a diesel heater for free camping in the winter.

Will also look at a solar panel, but may go for a A frame set up this time as opposed to fixed on the roof.

A couple more pics.

Maybe you should be banished, that looks a little to tempting. We may see a few more "cough cough" hard floor campers popping up on the site.
Honestly, looks great. Hope you enjoy.

Lemo.
