G'day guys i'm not sure if you know about it or not but Hema are running a comp on Facebook with 30 winners. I'm lucky enough to have an entry in it and ask if you would not mind throwing us a vote?

Cheers for the respnose  so far fellas. Hema are running a facebook competition with 30 winners on the horizon for a variety of stuff including mapbooks , maps etc

Its a PITA.. I created an account so I can get the things that interest me.. But I don't accept any friends, not interested in knowing what they are doing, if I want to know Ill call them.
its good you then only get updates to things you are interested in

I enjoy facebook, i have won about 1k in prizes..

Sold hundreds of $$$$ of my stuff in my local buy sell group, so much cheaper and way better than using ebay..

Given and learnt heaps of advice about stuff..

Get over ya fears of facebook and use it like a tool and not a toy..

Hearing both sides of the argument! For us I joined up when we did a 5 month trip through the Kimberley 4 years ago so our friends back at home could see where we had been and the photos I had put up. We have friends overseas who regularly catch up with from time to time. And it can be a useful tool from time to time. Just adjust your settings accordingly and privacy can be maintained to a certain degree.
