Opposite lock sell a brand of low profile roof tray called Slimline from Dolium pty ltd in W.A.
Wondering if anyone has this on their car, and if so, what do you think of it ?
They look really good, especially their low profile setup.
Mark.

Evo,
Is it in your shed because you don't like it or not using it ?

Not quite... ;D
Its actually Fuji's. I have to modify it to take some LED light bars.
Its a pretty well made bit of kit to be honest.
But I don't think it would go down to well if I swapped it for mine haha
Cheers

I've also got the Dolium Wind Cheetah. It is lightweight, strong and very flexible for ways to mount stuff. I use a combination of tie down traps across the horizontal panels, collared M8 eye bolts in the slots where applicable, quickfists for axe and spade plus I have a rod holder bolted onto one side as well as a shade awning on the other.
When I want to carry two Hobie kayaks I use the M8 bolt slides to affix two 1.8m Rhino heavy duty bars.

Slimline ones seem to be almost exactly, but maybe not quite the same?? as the windcheetah racks.

Dolium are the WA importer. I think Slimline is the brand name, windcheeta the product. It's the windcheeta that I am looking at.

Ive had the windcheeta rack for a couple of years now, excellent rack with plenty of accessories, nice and low so i can still park under the roller doors of the shed and are quiet and look good.

Dolium still list the windcheetah racks separately. I've had one for a few years.
I can't really see the difference between the two, but would be interested to find out.
I think Front Runner might be the manufacturers.

Do not take the wind deflector off as you will go through an agonising pain in your ears. Other than that I love it!!!!

Not a Dolium tray, but along the same lines. I picked this up through ebay last week, apparently it was custom made by a fabricator who works for the guy I bought it from. It's all aluminium and very solid; the slats are 12mm x 65mm and are welded all the way around at each end.

It's just bolted to the ROLA racks that I use for my Thule roof pod (using the pod brackets, although it came with custom steel brackets), but it will either end up on my Rhino heavy duty cross-bars, or on a bespoke mounting system - which is the most likely, because I want to have it as close to the roof as possible. The pics don't show it, but there's two 50x50mm angle brackets welded across the slats at each of the two places where the ROLA racks are, so plenty of additional strength there.
I also have a Chinese ARB copy full length steel rack but that's exactly what motivated the search for a basket like this - just too hard to manage given that I like to switch rooftop storage systems to suit whatever I'm doing at the time. The big rack has its place, though, so I am not selling it just yet.
This tray weighs nothing! When I picked it up, the seller's 14 year old son got it from the garage and walked it to my car with no effort at all.

Thats a big rack for only 2 legs....I would be putting a third one as we all like to overload our racks

Funny, that's what I said to your mum ;)

Agreed :) As I said it's just mounted to my light duty aero bars that are only used when I fit the roof pod - they were already on the roof after a weekend away so I just used them to get the rack home. I have triple Rhino heavy duty bars to use with it.
