Title: staining uderside jayco beds

I read somewhere on here about the jayco slide out bed ends being stained (painted)
Just wanted to know the benefits and if I should do it

I believe it is to seal the timber a d prevent it from absorbing any moisture. I will be doing this in a few weeks when I get my Eagle Outback.

There has been a bit of talk on this here previously about this. Consensus was you are better to let it breath and will cause a lot of condensation. Perfect example of this last weekend when  swagging with mates. My swag has a PVC base and a mates canvas base. Mine was soaked with condensation and his bone dry. Your body loses a lot of moisture when sleeping supposedly.
