Hi Five!
I will pop over and say G'day on Saturday mate.

To other swaggers going to the show on Saturday, if you see a bloke walking around with a black shirt with landcruiser on the back and Toyota on the front, it's me, Muz. Say g'day I would love to catch up.

Wow Barrabart, your description of yourself sounds like your describing me. I will make sure I don't wear double pluggers and wear my nice "going out to nice places" thongs so people don't gt us mixed up. Muz

Muzza / Barrabart - when you guys are talking about going to the show in your thongs, is that the Australian meaning of the word, or the European meaning? I guess the latter would mean that you would REALLY stand out...

Cheers,
Matto :)

No mate, OZ version.
I have no dress sense whatsoever, my wife and kids reckon I dress like a bogan. Not sure if I should take that as an insult or compliment.

At least you's blokes wear thongs, can't stand the bloody things. Bare foot, stubbie shorts and t-shirt is the norm for me and yes I have been called a BOGAN several times before, I just smile and say thanks for the complement . Stuffs them right up.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I may come down to the big smoke on Saturday  for a look.

cheers duggie

My Mrs wont go out with me unless I wear at least thongs. I only have bare feet if I go out by myself.
Hope to catch up with on Saturday. Muz.

Haha  yep I had too wear my thongs , but if it rains again bare feet might be a better option :)
shes a bit soft under foot there this morning and it will be a muddy mess with more rain ..And good too see how some of the rigs took the wind ...

Not really any must have supa specials too be had , but we did grab a couple of the Happy Camper long life meals to try out . I almost ordered some online last week, but it was good too have the wenches approval rather than finding them in the PO box , lol

Well it was all about research today really and I came away with lots of ideas :)
So its out too the shed too get back too work on this tray for my ute , then maybe start on some sort of hard floor ..

Good too meet my first other swaggers , the guys at Leisure Matters .

Cheers

Went to the show today, caught up with Campingwithkids, (thanks for the advice Nathan).
Had a Dagwood dog, couldn't find Teabag, looked at a heap of trailers, caught up with a few mates.

Sorry McGirr, couldn't find your donation stall for the engine rebuild so I donated some $ to the surf life savers instead.

Yep, I went a left some $$ with ol'  mate from Korr Lighting...... in exchange for a 4 Bar Camp Lighting Kit, and the remote kit, extra velcros ties and 2 x 25cm light bars..... all for a tidy sum too......... plugged them all in in the garage on Saturday night, and yep, they sure are bright buggers..... glad I have the dimmers!

We went along on Sunday morning - have to say, it was the best year yet I thought. Lots of people, lots of exhibitors, and each stand had lots of stock. The camper trailers were impressive - previous years saw most people having one, maybe two campers on their site - this year it seemed everyone had at least 3 different models. Very, very impressive.

I finally succumbed to the ARB stand, and bought the little girl a plush Fourby.

Most importantly though - a huge thanks to the random guy-with-a-fedora who overheard us lamenting our lack of sunscreen for bubba, and straight-up offered some of theirs. He didn't know us from a bar of soap, but it really made our day. Instead of having to leave early we got to wander around, and the little girl didn't get sunburnt. So - whoever you are - thanks very much. If you're a swagger, hit me up and I'll buy the drinks at next year's show :).

Cheers,
Matto :)

We also went along Sunday morning and were amazed at all the great camper displays and caravans, even tho we are not caravan fans.  Some of them are so space age looking.  We did purchase a Thermos Shuttle Chef, the people behind the stand demonstrating this cookware seemed genuine, but the people behind the other two stands of similar cookware left a lot to be desired.  All in all it was a super show this year, and well done to the organisers.
