Hi Guys,
Looking at getting new tyres and have found St Georges tyres is Sydney have a very good price on the tyres we are looking at.
Has anyone used St Georges before or has anyone got tyres online before and had them shipped ?
I keep thinking,if it seems to good to be true....then it usually is

Hi Matt, the owners are related to me and i can say they are very good and honest people. You won't deal with better business owners. Cheers Al.

Well you can't beat that for a reference. But yeas I used to buy my 20" tyres for my explorer from there. They were the only ones who stocked the right size and in the right load and speed ratings.
I think I bought 4 sets from them while I had that car, every time I got them within two days! Plus they were nearly $125 cheaper for the same tyre as anyone else.
So yep highly recommend them.
Cheers

Hi Matt, I bought a 5 tyre package from these guys (285x70x17 BFG All Terrains) Off of eBay, great guys to deal with and $45 cheaper per tyre than I could find all over Sydney, would have no hesitation in recommending them. I didn't have them shipped, I took my rims in and they fitted them, and balanced for free

I just ordered 5 x BFG AT's 285 70 17's from them last Thursday, they were picked up on Friday and expected delivery is in Brisbane tomorrow. I paid $320 a tyre compared to the best price I could get anywhere in Brisbane was between $479 & $489, so my saving was substantial. $85 freight to Brisbane, and having them fitted in Brisbane for $90 before I drive up to Townsville this weekend.
So far I am very happy with the service from St George tyres.
Cheers

Just looked at the 275/70/16 Yokos and they are $90.00 a tyre less than what I paid in Canberra 2 years ago.
Looks good to me

Yep I'm stoked, I'm saving jut over $700, worth it in my opinion. I will use them again for sure and will let my friends know, good service and prices should be known about.
They didn't have them on the web page when I looked so I rang, and they said yep we've got them, half hour later they rang back and had them on the page and walked me through the purchase process.....very happy I am

I am not saying this is the case here but beware of cheap prices as you may end up with grey imports with no warranty.

It might also be worth checking the manufacture date of the tyres (which is on the sidewall), you might find that your cheap tyres were manufactured two years ago, they might not have been either. There is one tyre retailer just up the road from St George tyres that has a reputation for selling cheap tyres, but they are two to three years old as well.

$325 for a 285/70R17 KM2 is crazy cheap.
Do you guys have tame tyre fitters who are ok with you bringing them in for fitment?
