Hi, well our new aussie jays camper has arrived and we love it. We are just in the process of trying to work out what fits and what doesn't. Our existing stretchers (for the kids x4) were anaconda deluxe folding stretchers with a padded mattress. They were great, comfy and quick to put but. However previously we used them to extend the sides on the trailer so they hardly took up any room. In the new trailer they can't fit on their side so we are in the market for some compact stretchers. I've heard mixed reviews on the oz trail ezy fold and roman rapid (can't seem to find any Melbourne stores that stock these). Does anyone have a recommendation for me. I really want the kids up off the ground. It lets us store stuff under there beds and is just easier.
Thanks

Hi Jj we use the amazon brand stretchers and the kids love them. Also plenty of room for the clothes underneath. Cheers Al.

We've just bought bunk bed camp stretchers and flowed the directions in this thread so that they stay up but fold flat

We plan to store them on top of the main bed

Thanks socks but I think my boys would commit murder if in bunks together. Thankfully we have a 12 ft tent and kids room and have just resigned ourselves to setting up the kids room each time.

We have one of the stretchers you have, we didn't realize how huge it was when folded up compared to the non padded (which we have 2 of)
The XL non padded stretchers probably come in at half the size when folded.

wasnt there another thread on this last week???
heaps of info and piccys

There was one about stretchers. I'm more after the pack size of them as well as the comfort. Fitting 4 of them in is a challenge

The ones in the pic (linked in the other thread) come with all the parts to make two singles rather than a bunk. They definitely fold flat.

Check these out: http://www.tentworld.com.au/products/bedding/item/OZtrail-Easy-Fold-Low-Rise-Single-Stretcher.aspx (http://www.tentworld.com.au/products/bedding/item/OZtrail-Easy-Fold-Low-Rise-Single-Stretcher.aspx)
Weight-rated to 150kg, low-rise, and compact and light when folded. We've got our 3y.o. on one, and the 20 month-old will be on one too soon enough. Older & bigger kids might want to add a self-inflating on top, but it's as comfortable as a stretcher could/should be.
Highly recommended.

Thanks hubby picked up some oztent ones today. Apparently they pack up quite small.

Thanks for the link spargo, I found a queen size that should do our QS swag just nicely. Cheap too.

Those oz trail ones are down to 78 at anaconda starting tomorrow if anyone else wants them

Cheers for that. It's likely that the Tentworld guys in SEQld would match it, so I'll likely get the little bloke's ahead of time while I can save a few coin.
