Title: QLD Parks and Wild Life Site
Post by: Foo on May 18, 2013, 03:32:12 PM
Is it just me, or is this site a joke? Trying to find out what sites are taken at Booloumba No3 for next Easter and you get no info except for 10 site of 14 taken.  >:(

You could go to the site before and see what sites were taken but not now. Stupid friggin Web Page designers.  >:D

Foo, you must be lucky!  I have been trying to book some sites for days & can not get the web page to move from Amarmoor Creek!!

It took some stuffing around to find this camp area, just don't ask how I did.  :-[

The old site was easy to navigate but this is just crap. Fools ::)

I didn't realise you could book more than 3 months ahead now.  Could be useful.

If you actually go part way through the booking process you can see which sites are available.  (As opposed to just using the "Check Availability" link.

When it says "10/14" it means 10 sites available from 14 total (or 10 people from 14 total people for some bookings).

Yep I know the 10/14 thing Steve, why do they have to stuff around with something that worked well before. :-\

You used to be able to book up to 12mths ahead, so I will have a look into that. ;)

Foo and the opposite was in place for Fraser, you couldnt book a site until 3 months prior to arrival .
Now your able to check availability and  book any time it seems ..Booked a spot on Fraser for July, back at the start of Febuary..
Agree with you though the QPWS site is hopeless to how it used to be.

Please contact 13 7468 (13 QGOV) if you have any issues or queries regarding bookings.  Call between 0830 - 1630 and ask to whinge to the website owners ... as NP Bookings have just as much trouble as you and I do.   The more complaints the better.  Ensure you are recorded when asking to be transferred and say why ...

Then write a letter to Parliament / local member / local council / national parks themselves.  The more complaints the better.

P.S.  I like that you can save your info and don't have to input it every time ... which you couldn't do before.
