Ok bear with me hear but I've just got back from the Doctors and having the dreaded "snip" (sorry if that's a bit to much info) but my frustration is the fact that I have my new to us jayco swan that has been in the family for a week and not being able to start and improvements. So while I'm lying here with stuff all to do I was hoping to get some inspiration. Our swan is a 2012 OB with a few factory extras but if anybody out there has ideas or modifications be that their own or past threads that I can start using this down time to plan and perhaps put a spring in the step again. Cheers

Maybe you can install an ice machine, help cool the 'offending' area and provide ice for drinks

Been there, done that, went to the next town to have it done on the quiet!
Lay down on Op Theatre Table. SHMBO's cousin walks in to act as the theatre nurse. Bugger, story now out into the whole flaming world!
sorry, no pics

Gee that's tuff. You'll be up and ... on your feet again in no time. ;D

Hi,
I had a similar story as Mace. Anethetist- "Where have I seen your face before?" Our kids go to pre-school together. Then went into theatre and was greeted by my soccer coaches wife and the wife of a mate on my cricket team!
Camper mods- what about LED's in the front boot and side hatch near door, I've been thinking of doing the same in the cupboards under the sink also. I also put a 12v outlet behind the robe in the wall beside the stove and then plug a triple socket into that to run tv, dvd player and fan for the kids at their end if needed.

Cheers paulo the light idea is a good will be a handy addition.

Worked with a guy in Bundy years ago, he was so worried about his post-operative performance, that he put it all to the test the afternoon he got home from the surgery! >:D
FFS, I felt like I could hardly walk when I had it done!
-
After our fourth child I suggested that maybe I should go and get done. Wife said no, I will get it done just in case I die and you meet someone younger and she needs the goods......

4 kids :o you need to buy either a heater or a TV ;D

Got to love being an Aussie where it's encouraged to take the piss out of total strangers. Good to know your not alone and you guys must have a Shit load of fun when you catch up for trips ;-)

And meant to add, a mate of mine had it done and then for the next month he always wore 'protection'. I had him convinced that his swimmers had turned to 'pus' as they died so it was the right thing to do for his wife.

After mine was told needed to and I quote shoot 100 times to be sure that we were clear. I said you should wait until SWMBO is here and was told why don't you have a hand
-
Yep, Been to the Vet, had me head thrown down a Gum Boot, jobs done.
Three Billy Lids were enough ;D
The ferret can have a run without any worries 8)

Hey Marcus how often do you all get together. I'm only new to the forum and after reading some of the stories of others getting together I think a Tassie catch up sounds interesting

I got my CT towards the end of last year and have been on 2. Both Mathinna and Cosy Corner were great weekends with everyone getting along really well. I'd guess that it'll be a little while before the next due the weather cooling off slightly. Keep an eye on the trips section for the next. I hope to see you at the next one

Not much help or sympathy I know!

Say, did you hear why the African American wore a suit to his vasectomy???
Well, he said, "If I'm gonna be impotent, I might as well LOOK impotent!"
Thank you, thank you. I'm here all week, tell your friends!!!

I was only told 30...pre warned SWMBO if I sign up its to be no longer then 30 days....first night home from hospital was slow & steady.....no I mean real slow & real steady
Wasn't good a few days later when I forgot to be easy on my feet and jumped off the back of the truck....mid flight remembered :'( not good at all
-
Reminds how immediate after getting home from my snip, I asked my wife if she'd pop down to the shops to buy me some icecream.
SWMBO: "What flavour do you want?"
Me: "It doesn't matter, I won't be eating it."
???

The worst part for me was the itching from the stubble. No other problems!

Mowing the lawn on the ride on ain't a real good idea either.
I woke up the next morning, checked (as you do), tapped swmbo on the shoulder and asked if she had ever wanted to be with a black man. ;D
-
I can only say that I admire you. Myself and the wife had a deal that after our last I would have the dreaded cut but if by some amazing twist of fate she had a ceaser then she would get her tubes tied - I WON

Brother in law rode a pushy 5ks home after his OP. Couldn't walk for a week.
-
Amazing the different after effects everyone gets, I was a little sore the next day, nothing to stop me going about my 'usual' activities :-*
My Dad when he got done many years ago, drove in, had a local, watched them do it and drove back to work for the rest of the day.
One of my cousins got done on a Tuesday, the following weekends 4x4 got shortened to one day only of an overnight trip, he literally looked like he had been kicked in the balls after five days ;D
-
Had mine done yesterday arvo, just layed on the couch all night with tackle propped up and an ice block in my jocks.
Today, no swelling, bleeding or bruising, just a little bit of soreness. Great time to catch up on all the paperwork...
Missus is a nurse and won't "come near me" (her words) for a week :(
-
Nurses are like that. :police:
-
I was lucky as my wife needed a caesarean with our 2nd child and the Dr knew this was going to be our last child. So he suggested that seeing he is already in the area, he could tie her tubes for another $100.
Best $100 I’ve ever spent.
-
Keep the ice up and take it easy...and after a few days start to get back into things..but geez it gets insane itchy!!
I commute 20kms to work on pushie, never miss a day, but I did miss 1 week to give the tackle time to mend before getting back in the bike.
-
or just keep it shaved....... ;D
-
Hi,
I do remember riding the motorbike home standing on the pegs the whole way!
cheers

After doing absolutely no physical work on the weekend, went back to work Monday to a job that was light duties, today was lots of small jobs in and out of the car. Almost back to normal, panadol is keeping the dull ache away. No bruises, swelling (:(), just a smidge tender. Good times.

Many moons ago when contemplating my own snip I discussed options with a friendly aero club member who happened to be a GP. Vasectomy v tubal ligation.
Doc said that whilst complications were very rare with either procedure, tubal ligation was generally performed in an operating theatre whereas most vasectomies were performed in doctor's surgeries, and thus a vasectomy had a higher chance of infection.
Potential testicles the size of tennis balls almost put me off! 8)
