I've seen it in other forums, a thread is started then people post useful links to the subject matter with a brief description.
There's now chit chat in the thread just links to threads so newbies (like me) can access the good information quickly.
Ideas could be a ;
Jayco bible
Hard floor bible
Ozpig/oven build bible
Etc
Thoughts?

Trouble with 'Bibles' is peoples egos. One says do it this way the other says the other way and next thing it turns ugly. Do your research, or use the search engine and make your own decision.

Yes, hard to do with out someone missing out and cracking the sh1ts.

Don't be bashful if you don't know ask ??? :cheers:

No problem, like I said, I've seen it work well on other forums, great for stopping newbies asking the same questions over again.
I've been using the search but sometimes you don't know there is a cool idea for something you haven't worked out yet. Common knowledge isn't that common sometimes

Hmm, we've done something like with Symon's Electrical 101, though like most bibles there is plenty of wiggles room, and folks who disagree vehemently with parts of its doctrine.
I am not keen to set up sections, as I have always felt the community of MySwag is one of it's strengths.

Bibles work great on other forums. They dont have to contain all info in one thread, they usually contain links to threads that you can read through to get your info.
We have a similar thing on here in regards to electrical I think.
Anyway I guess it just takes a person with plenty of time on their hands and an interest in a certain topic to do the research and collate it all to one thread and then a mod stickys it in the 'bible' or FAQ section, saves the next bloke going to all the same trouble.

There is a massive amount of work to create them, been there done that...
Then someone has to keep the info up to date, as things are constantly changing.
