Just wanted to put a huge shout out to Evo :cup: for the help he has given us (lino6 and I) yesterday with our car stereo and helping with which one would be a good option for the DMAX. We took up a huge part of your day, and I personally am very grateful to Chantelle (not sure I spelt that right) for opening her home to a stranger for the day was lovely to chat to her. We had not met until yesterday and it is so refreshing that there are generous friendly people still in this world. I know Evo might not like the post but I felt like I couldn't say nothing. Despite the stirring of some of my music choices it did still play some country music today even though they tried to assure me it would not anymore haha.
If we can ever repay the myswag favour please let us know. Thanks Again :cheers:

Also Andrew feel free to drop in anytime work brings you up this way for a beer and a chat.
Oh and Renee, now that you played country music through it, the warranty is void......

Mate that was a win win!, I had a chance to have a look over the cruiser when they got back, If that had of been for sale before I bought the patrol I probably would have grabbed that.
Mechanically brilliant and nothing some TLC in my shed won't fix.
Just a pitty I couldn't find someone who had your original asking price.

Evo is just demonstrating the Myswag 'rule' of "paying (previous help from other MySwaggers) forward".
At some point you will help out another Myswagger, hence "paying forward" the help Evo gave you.

I'll be able to see that pesky water tank sneaking up behind me now in the camera, at least it didn't damage the car as such. Will have to find somewhere to test the maps without the sheer cliff face drops

My 2 cents.....
Great bloke! Why:
1. Wanted to help out looking for a head unit in the ute and even give me written instructions on how to put it in;
2. Gave me the number for a guy in brissy re. an awning for the ute; and
3. Even offered to get a set of roof rack down there and post them to me, just to help out.
Evo, if there is anything you need let me know. More than happy to help!

Im another member of the evo fan club ;D
When looking for cars recently, we found one in wodonga. I put out the call to see if anyone local could have a squizz at it for us and see if it was worth making the trip up from Melbourne. Evo graciously offered his time, and even offered to take it for a test run.
Unfortunately the car sold before he could see it; the next day he called to say hed keep an eye out for something now he knew what we were after.

I'm just glad to help out, Everyone I have met through here are :cup: and I know I have certainly made some friends so it's a win win in my book.
On that note, no more installs in Dmax's from now on unless I remember to get gas for the bbq..... They take a little longer than I thought haha.

A bit of a marathon it did turn into and a not particularly warm afternoon too. But appreciate all of you help. Putting up with us for that long is hard enough work before trying to pull apart a DMax ;D. I did apologise to Chantelle for holding you up the day her battery went flat so hopefully all good there too ;D. Next time you are up this way feel free to call me if you want to catch up or drink a few Makers Mark's :cheers:
On a side note, if someone ever makes a car stereo that cannot and will not play Lady Gaga I will order one for all of my vehicles!

Yeah was a tough one whether to post or not as my intention was not to embarrass but to acknowledge and felt like I really did want to say a big thanks. The stereo looks like it has always been there which is what you are looking for when fitting something like that.
On a side note, if someone ever makes a car stereo that cannot and will not play Lady Gaga I will order one for all of my vehicles!
Lucky I don't like lady gaga either.

Good on you mate, it's things like this and people like you that make MySwag such a top spot.
Tip to all: if you haven't been to a MySwag meet, make the effort and you'll meet lots of top folks. If there isn't one near you, just run it yourself and they'll come to your favourite spot.

If you do run for PM Evo (I will vote for you) can you move the Queens birthday holiday to the Monday before Melbourne cup day? There is clearly not enough public holidays in the second half of the year in Victoria!

well as an avid snow bunny I can't move the queens birthday public holiday as then I would have problems on the opening of snow season.
HOWever, As first act of PM I would ADD some more public holidays. First one would be Australia is just awesome day (before cup day)
the next one would be to as requested make cup day NATIONAL and also increase it to melbourne cup MONTH.

You'll be getting votes all over the place then, November is not bad camping weather. At my work we have to work cup day as they take local show day off instead, the good thing for me is I dont work Tuesdays so get cup day anyway and the local show is on a Wednesday which is my work day win win. :cup:
