Quick query for those that have a tanami pump......or those that also know more about fuel than I do.
I would like to get one of these pumps to use at both home and for when we are on the Gulf Trip soon. Only problem is, at home it will get premium unleaded put through it and out on the road it will get diesel put through it.
By the time it gets diesel through it, my thoughts are that any unleaded would be well and truley evaporated out of it so there would be no issue running the diesel through it.
What are your thoughts?

Yeah we have one at the farm by the time you hang it up and let it dry out after the unleaded the amount of cross contamination would be minute.
I know it is not environmentally friendly but you could pump a litre or 2 of diesel through it beofe you left to flush it or do it on the track and then use the diesel you used to flush it with to get your camp fire going

G'day cam-champion, there would be no problem with ulp in the pump as when you drain it and let it stand for a while the petrol would soon evaperate, anyway a teaspoon of petrol to 20 litres is neglagible, I would be more conserned about cleanliness, I keep mine in a bag so it will stay clean. Hope this helps.
