I've just logged on here for the first time in.. ummm... in a while. Maybe since December!
So what did I miss? Threads about extreme tyre wear with indy suspenions? How 'very satisfied' people are with thier cheap Ebay solar panels, despite never having used them? Pajero vs Prado arguments?!! 8)
Fill me in.. and I guess I deserve a flogging for not having checked-in for a while! :-[

I've been keeping myself busy! Delivered a couple of campers for Xmas and since then playing with a couple of VW Beetle builds (another activity of mine) and taking one of them to a dry salt lake in South Oz to see how fast I could go!

the event is Australian Speed Week at Lake Gairdner, via Gawler Ranges in South Oz. My little Bug did 124-point-something miles an hour and I am quite happy with that
Not sure of the Corolla's speed (it had a Commodore V6 in it) and the little Datto I think did somewhere around 117

yeah chippy I have been a 'Stan' customer for 20 years... the 124mph motor is one I use for hill climbs in another car. I also took a 'street' engine and did 100mph
