Title: Happy salespeople
Post by: Big Nath on February 23, 2013, 08:45:23 PM
G'day guys, I'm chasing some feedback. Today at the Adelaide caravan show we received 2 complaints from another site holder close bye for being "to boisterous and laughing to much with customers"

WTF?

Is there such a thing as a salesperson who is to happy?

Do we all have to be old prunes???

Thoughts?

Laughing with customers?
Where the hell do you get off? .... Sheesh. Next you'll be trying to sell them stuff.
Mate tomorrow  I'd suggest showing them what boisterous really is!!!!

Um.......... I think we all know the answer here.
Practical jokes are in order. Can you bulk buy "whoopie cushions"?

Seriously though I wouldn't worry about it too much, just smile and wave at them like they are your best friends whenever you walk past. That should confuse em!

Cheers

What pi$$es me off, we went to their site, introduced ourselves and had a good chat for 15-20 minutes, no problems. Now they do this......

Fiji, we sell entry level imported trailers.... What big names are in our class....and claim to be Aussie made

As we have met our quota for the show already, and we still have one day left, we were going to go over tomorrow and offer them our services :-)

Well after all our products are VERY similar.

Well it worked then for them, it's got you flustered. So what if they complain, why care? Why does it matter enough to make a thread about it?

Not being grumpy here but I wonder what the other side of the story is?

I imagine if the neighbouring sites sales pitch is being interrupted constantly by loud laughing they may get upset.

It's a strange old world. :)

Ummm.... Ok then
If you're not interested in the thread why care?
Does it matter enough to make a post about it?

What I was getting at was why would you care what they think? The OP was having a fun, successful weekend and those sourpusses have complained about it and it has taken the shine off it. Why should someone else dictate if you are enjoying yourself at work to the extent you need to start a thread about it as it has obviously affected you.

Don't worry about it, keep enjoying yourself.

Some sales people just don't get it. Like the guy from a certain caravan company that rings me every fortnight since I enquired about his new van. He rings me a couple of weeks ago to tell me that they now have a NSW distributor and they'll be at the Newcastle show so we go up to see him, don't even get to the point of giving my name in the introduction before HE decides we are a lost cause and is off quicker than a prawn in the midday sun....

Had the last laugh when I messaged his boss on their Facebook site.....
