Title: Other options for time away in March
Post by: Nay-DMAX on February 19, 2013, 08:20:36 AM
Hi all
We have got a couple of weeks off in March and were thinking of going to somewhere like Sheepyard flat as we take our dogs with us.  However as we cannot predict what might be going on with the fires etc then would like a plan B.  So can anyone suggest some place in Vic that are dog friendly we usually river camp on the Murray and would be happy to go there again just thought it might be nice to go somewhere else.  Beach is ok too if there is somewhere alright for that time of year it is more about being able to take the dogs which is the harder part.  Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Oh to give you an idea of where we can get in vehicle wise 2010 D-Max but standard suspension and off road camper trailer.
Thanks Renee

Couple of weeks -  Head to Rawnsley Park or Wilpena Pound, or one of 1000 camps round the Flinders!

This place looks good Wayne and might be the place to go the SA places look great too but as we werent going to be away the whole time might be a bit far with over 11hours driving but that might be the place for next years hols.

I'd like to get the dogs to the beach at some stage again soon so Johanna beach might allow us to do that with the camper.
