I now have electricity and I'm back >:D ... It was windy / noisy / wet / cold / there was NO MySwag / there was no tele / there was NO HOT COFFEE!!! Okay, that last bits a lie ... I do have my old 2 burner Primus stove and I was the only one in the street having a hot coffee / meal. ;D
But Still ... It was the WORST 48 hours of my life!

P.S. Thank The Sweet Lord the BF has a genie or they'd be no dinner either.

Great news.
Thought you mite be under the pump when Logan was mentioned on the news.
Sounds like a few withdrawl symptoms kicked in, Myswag in particular. ;D

Top Stuff KTK, good to hear your alive and kicking. Scary stuff that's for sure. QLD can't take a trick at the moment.

Good to hear you are back and got to have a hot coffee and meal whilst you were absent from here. Stay safe up there

Glad you are back Kit_e_kat9 all safe & sound. We had a short 5 min outage but the UPS kicked in and still had internet & PC to go.
Sure was a bit of a blow we had, thankfully we had no damage but friends of ours up the street a bit had a tree fall on a car next door.
Hope all swaggers are OK out there!

Errr no. It's in the carport and well, that was blowing away at the time. I'm sure those burner covers aren't meant for 100kph winds ... Scoot have you tested them under that sort of pressure? LOL!
So the only damage sustained here was the loss of many tree leaves (so if you see mine can you send them back ... I've got some superglue standing by) and the downstairs portion of my humble abode doesn't appear to be water tight ... carpet is wet for about a 1/2 metre from the wall. I haven't seen any major damage around my area.
Mace, I'm at the more respectable northern end of Logan (just my grossly over rated opinion there) so I could yell "hello" across to BrisVegas if I so desired and someone might hear me (and tell me to shutup). Anyway we are a bit more "up in the air" at this end, but probably still vulnerable to tsunami, which I've yet to verify.
I would love to hear any other "ex" cyclone stories of other SEQ'ers as they'd probably be far more exciting than mine.

I think it must be all your fault anyway KTK.
I recall some posts (Fuji's trailer thread?) in which you refused to give up even 2mm of you rainfall. And now you want your leaves back!
What natural disaster is that going to cause?
Glad you're all ok anyway.

Glad to hear your safe and well Kit_e

Just saw this!

PARTS of Logan, south of Brisbane, are isolated by floodwaters.
Major flood levels are now easing slowly downstream from Yarrahappini to Logan Village and homes and businesses have escaped major damage.
Mayor Pam Parker says about 200 residents in the suburb of Buccan are isolated.
"We're discovering people who are isolated, without power, without water, and we're going to be getting some long life milk, catfood and kitti litter supplies in through four wheel driver later today.
"I know there's other pockets that are isolated; if you can communicate to council, we'll try to get boats to you."

So 200 residents are isolated and the Mayor is worried about where their cats will sh!t. WTF.

Hey Kitty
I'm not surprised that Logan got some flooding this time round, it's part of a huge catchment that goes way back to the Border ranges
and all that water has to be squeezed between a couple of hills to get out to sea.
back in 1974 the water really got up many more metres than current but there wasn't all that many houses affected because it was very lightly populated back then. it was a genuine inland sea for a while
