Title: back again........
Post by: cruisindub on January 22, 2013, 07:39:18 PM
Back to A&E aging yesterday evening. Thats twice in about I months.

First time was falling through the patio roof and dislocated my left shoulder.

Last nights effort?
watering the veggie patch.

Slipped off a loose brick with my Australian standard safety thongs on, watering can in left hand, swung out my right hand for balance, grabbed hold of the side of the shed,      and proceeded to neat slice the end of my finger off.
Wuhan panicking wife, blood oozing everywhere, there I was back at A&E, again......

I hadn't even had a drink. I was only trying to water the veggies. The things I do and efforts I go to please the wife.
Would have been much safer sitting back with drink in hand, enjoying the sunset.

Worse part? Thats the hand I use to wipe my........... well you get the drift.!

Most people find change a very difficult thing to manage. There are specialists in the field who may be able to help at a price. May be worth looking into.

Just have to face it. Time to change hands  :'(

Sorry cruisindub  ;D

a workmate decided to have both wrists repaired for carpel tunnel.... at the same time...
there was no wiping, it was in the back yard, (acerage block) in the dark, with Mrs giving him a hose down... down there
nooo touchy for her

so cheer up mr Dub, there's an option for you

the difference between then and now, back then there was no facebook LOL!

I'll try to be helpful and offer some advice. I burnt my wiping hand years ago and had it all bandaged up.
Tried the opposite hand wipe a couple of times and it just doesn't work.
Grab yourself a plastic bag, wrap around the offending hand and wipe till your content.

No sympathy from the wife.

Can't even get a sponge bath. No chance of any help in the wiping dept.

At first she was annoyed and upset over the blood everywhere, now its fits of giggles and no sympathy.
was only trying to do a good deed at the end of the day....

What's the saying?  No good deed goes unpunished.?!

Ok, now you know you have to handle the wiping yourself, don't forget, the most important thing.
Your normal hand has a built in sensor, calling the fingerous paperous bust throughous sensor.

Now, your other hand won't be fitted with one, so go easy on the finger to paper pressure, or you'll stop biting your fingernails real quick.

Oh, what the hell, i'm a sick bastard..... :worthles:

Whe I was a young tacker ( 14) I fell on a milk bottle and put a 30cm gash in my wrist cut all tendons muscles and artery had blood transfusion etc etc. 1st trip out of bed went off to little boys room did the business and then realised wiping hand well and truly out of commission and the drip on the other hand will not let me reach my but. Sat there for awhile before calling for nurse. Funny now but quite embarrassing for a 14yo.

Geeeezzzzz some blokes shouldnt be let out alone . cant even hold a hose without mutilating yourself ,, & worst of all sober ( what ever that means )  The expresion " Silly Old Bugger " springs to mind

sorry to hear of your drama

It was a 9 litre watering can...........

Hose would have been safer!

And probably would have been fine if I'd had a drink or three .....
