A couple of crazy combinations at Trackabout leading up to Christmas, a white Extenda and a camo trimmed tent  Let us know your thoughts MySwaggers...
-
Happy to road test one of them for a short time -- say 12 months to see how they run.
I like the white one, not sure of cammo trimming though.
-
You may have to fight the new owners Noel.. Im sure they may swap for your '03 for 12 months.. Let me ask them

We are seriously considering painting our CT white next year so I am watching some of the white trailers that are popping up with interest to see how they look after a bit of use.
Dont think the camo trim does a lot for me, but thats a personal choice.
-
Danny, I wasn't completely sold on the "white" idea when it came back from the powder coaters but looks fantastic with all the stainless and the alloys!
-
How do you find a camo tent in the bush? Got me beat how the army guys find their beds?
BTW, like the white.

My $2 worth.
I would have had a checker plate toolbox as it will only get chipped. They look good when first new but after a few trips on dirt roads they get blasted by rocks.
After we were hiring 3 trackabouts out for 4 years from Cairns to the Cape you know what and where stones hit and what worked and what didnt.
The tent is a personal thing. The white colour is different.

Personally I think camper trailers should be any colour or colours the customer wants. Why have the same as everyone else? I like the white, but personally wouldn't buy it, as my tow is Black. As for the tent... nope sorry not my taste. On a side note, that's a very individual combo and different to anything else I've seen, some-one will love it for that reason.
-
I'm not a fan of the white, looks more like a washing machine, and when set up a very hard to find washing machine.....
-
If I won it in a competition, I'd love it. White's okay, but like mentioned earlier ... that box could do with some extra protection. As for the camo around the windows ... if that's the way they come, then fine, I guess it could grow on you.
Since the camo isn't on the white trailer ... it actually ooks okay. Couldn't picture it on the white trailer at all with the darker canvas - maybe with one of the camo basic colours (ie green, yellow, etc) with the edging but not that grey colour.

Don't mind the white at all, all my work utes have been white and always srub up nicely.
Love the roof rack with nine spare tyres on top that should get you out of trouble in the bush
-
Love it,
Although I may have a little side reasons to like it. ;D
It's nice to see some personality in campers though, allot of them all seem to look the same from a distance. Personality is great!!
I 2nd the checker plate on the box though, I think it would also help to break up the white a little more. As you said earlier with the stainless on it, it looks great.
Cheers

We get some interesting combinations from our customers from time to time but more than happy to facilitate

Like the trailer, not so much the tent, think a tan colour tent would look better. Also glad it doesn't have chequerplate can't stand the stuff, reckon it looks cheap and nasty.
-
Trailer - meh. White looks like undercoat, like it is unfinished.
Canvas - OK. Not ever fussed on colours, just the quality. I loved the ensuite that zipped onto the awning wall in the latest CTA magazine. That really piqued my interest.
Just being honest....sorry.
-
I'd love to see a full auscam tent in aussie canvas. The Trackie that Johnnie flogged off a few months ago in olive drab looked good, too.

exactly what I thought :(
-
I think the existing wheels are too dark. If the wheels were shiny and bling with the chrome centre caps I think that would complete the look.
-
Personally I think it looks slick and love the black wheels. Don't mind the camo trim on the canvas either. However, Would I buy a white ct ? Probably not, keeping it looking reasonably tidy seems like extra work.
-
Not a fan of the white trailer, though i can imagine it would look good linked up to a white tug with matching black trim............. but what i think is great is that you guys will do what the customer wants, even if it's not what you'd want for yourself.......... some of the so called "top end" manufacturers could learn from this.
The green and camo wouldn't bother me....... i actually like the tans and olives in tents, sort of blends nicely with the bush.............
Good stuff either way! :cup:

The real test would be to take it over to Fraser, set it up and then let all the swaggers use it for say a week or two to give an informed opinion.
All each swagger would need to do, would be to move out by a set date and the new swagger goes straight in.
It could be run as a tag team sort of thing. After say 4 or 5 years, we can all say how good or bad it was, if it leaked or not, it could be tested in all climates etc, how comfortable it was...... the list is endless.
I can recomend a spot or two as well, if that helps.
The line starts here to use it and i'm first, because i thought of it and i'm closer as well.
Well, how about it? huh.
-
Sounds like a plan Jeepers ;D you can have the first week if I can have your leftover beers for the second week

Personally if I was going down that road/colour scheme Id use these como colours

Also to match the wheels black chrome or anodised the box.
PS: be careful with the Jeepers deal your likely to get an empty fridge instead you'll find his "SWMBO" left behind were he needed her seat to take home the left over beers ;D
