if your looking at buying it,
See if you can test it, and make sure it runs smoothly.
The beauty of warn winches is that you can get nearly every part to repair or rebuild if you need too.
They are a cracker of a winch.  ;D

No worries,

ARB can be a little dear for warn parts though.
http://www.atecoequipment.com.au/ (http://www.atecoequipment.com.au/) don't sell retail but they do have distributers.
They are very comprehensive.

My Warn M8000 has a similar (but not identical) casing and identification plate fitted (just checked by torchlite  ;D). Its a period winch fitted by the NSW Police to my 1995 Rodeo when new.

There seem to have been a few versions of it.

Mal Leslie in Heidelburg is the man to see with your winch.. he will do wonders with any winch.

It would appear the 38951 comes of the 9500lb winch.

parts seem readily available from the states, if not here.
