Just thought I'd say hello.
Have met a few people in our travels that have talked about this site, so I thought I'd pop in and see what I can learn.
I'm from the Brisbane area, and do mostly week-end camping, but we usually go on a 4 week adventure once a year.
We've had a "Cub" hard floor since '05, but just recently upsized to a Conqueror UEV490 (second hand) and we drag that around with a D22 Navara.
Cheers for now,
Greg

Hi Spada,
Welcome, the 490 was what got us intertested in CT's in the first place. Very nice unit.
Please remember :worthles: .
Lots to learn around here with a bunch of unbelievably friendly people.

I'm trying to work the whole "picture" thing out. I'll get one up once I figure it out.

Like the 490, it ticks all of our boxes. I still like our Cub, but it wasn't ideal for our style of travelling. On our big trips we tend to have a few consecutive travel days, and wanted to be able to just pull up and go to bed when we needed to, without needing to do any setting up.
Being second hand when we got it, we had a couple of niggling problems on our first big trip out, but there all sorted now.
Cheers.

To Myswag,
She looks like a rig that will go anywhere ;D
There are plenty of great trip report to help you sort out where to go for you next trip. Also there are some nice spots close by to ya as well.
Hope you enjoy your time here.
Happy & Safe travels.

Spada,
The one thing that turned us off the 490 was the height of the kitchen, well it actually turned LB off as she is short and would not have been able to see into the pots when they were on the stove, which in turn means I would have to do all the cooking which is not the best situation at all. ;D
How do you find the kitchen height?

Yeah, it is definately higher than what we were used to on the Cub, but the chief cook and bottle washer seems to cope ok (unless I set up camp with the kitchen on the down hill side).

Hi Greg,
Great to see another family from Brisbane joining the MySwag ranks!
Do you mind if I ask where that photo was taken? Looks like a top spot right on the river. Hopefully it's around here somewhere!
Cheers,

Pic was taken at Yarrie Lake, about 20km west of Narabri,NSW. Stopped there on our last night traveling home from Flinders Ranges. Would like to have stayed a bit longer.
