Thanks for the heads up, just checked and yep my chassis # is listed. Mine is going in for the brake problem.

I had an issue in relation to both these types of problems in jayco eagle
The wiring for the lights and electric brakes ran between the u bolts and over the spring leaf. If the springs ever bottomed out and hit the rubber stopper this also impacted the wires.
In my case the wires were cut.
I don't know how far I traveled with them like this but but it potentially could have been from Broken Hill to Oodnadatta and back to Wanaring when I noticed it. I repaired it and brought to Jaycos attention and they were not interested in even checking out my repair.
It is worth a 5 minute look to see where your wiring goes.

Holy cow!! We had the letter about the potential brake issue, but nothing was mentioned about the axle / u bolt thing... GRRR..... I hope we can get it sorted, we have a 3 week trip planned over Xmas :'(
Thanks a million for the heads up.

Just called lube mobile, as per the mighty Jayco instructions, and they are coming round tomorrow to check it out.... Howzat fr efficiency? maybe Jayco have realised they need to sub-contract efficient service 'cos they are efficiency and service challenged ???

Mine falls within those numbers. I haven't received any letters to notify me. Thanks for the info

Guys, just ensure you check the chassis sheet, mine fell within the numbers but when I went searching for mine it was not listed.

Wow ... when you click back to the "heading" ... Jayco sure does get a thorough mention no matter the year.

Hi to All,
I just read a story on the Caravanner's forum where a Jayco Dicovery Outback had one it's axels come loose, resulting in the wheel pointing everyway but forward. It makes quite a read, see it here. (http://caravanersforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=32849). The owner says the chassis number fell in the range of the recall but was not listed in the chassis number listing. It's a long and not so good story and at the end, Jayco insist that it was a fault of the spring not the U bolt tension. Most people would guess that if the U Bolts were tight, that one leaf couldn't just slip out the back. My concern is my Hawk is in the range list but not in the chassis number listing. I'm going to ring Jayco tommorow and ask if the Lubemobile offer applies to those which aren't listed. If not I will book it in for the 1000klm warrenty check and have it looked at there. Would maybe suggest if you have not got a letter but are within the range, that you should get it checked.

Hi guys,
I rang my Jayco dealer today and explained that although my camper was in the range but not listed by serial number, could I still get the Lubemobile check. Told NO, if you didn't get a letter, it doesn't need to be checked. So I said,"So it should be OK then". Reply came, Ring Jayco Melbourne on thier 1800 number, take it up with them. Pity, that the guy in Melbourne didin't get a letter niether.
